Then we get that at the end of the night and leave for them. On one cruise earlier this year we left a complete bar setup for our steward who was really nice to us. He was thrilled. Of course this was along with an extra cash tip. In the past I have given my free bottle of wine to cabin steward who was thrilled but I have since been told they are Not permitted to accept alcohol from guests. I, (name) in cabin 1234, have given our steward (name) 3 bottles of beer and a bottle of wine. Edited August 11, 2022 by little britain

So, you'd rather slam back 4 or 5 drinks in the lounge (off a very limited list) over a couple of hours instead of having the option to get ANY drink $13 or less anytime you want over the course of the day (number only limited by your status)? 1

We have sailed 6x so far this year and each time we ask the steward if they get to keep what we leave and they say, yes. That is why we load them up. Maybe things on different ships. We are heading out on a 23 day sailing in a couple of months so will see how it goes on this next ship.
davekathy Posted August 14, 2022 #30 Share Posted August 14, 2022 We did a B2B cruise on the Explorer in March. We received a free bottle of champange for each leg (no idea why). First leg we opened the bottle, poured a colple of glasses and poured the rest in the toilet. Second leg we gave the bottle to our cabin attendent. No hesitation from her at all. Big smile and a thank you. Another person (😉) on our second leg offered thiers to us but we polietly declined. 🥂
SAmome Posted August 14, 2022 #31 Share Posted August 14, 2022 So on the last night of the cruise do the vouchers reload at 12:01am? If out at a disco or something can keep drinking on new batch? Although, I think last time I cruised there was only one bar open very late and the fight to the bar wasn't worth the effort.

I was recently told they are not allowed.

For us it worked and our steward was VERY thankful for all we left him.

Yes vouchers reload after midnight. Depending on ship there are usually a couple bars open after midnight. Boleros, viking lounge, the pub in most promenades, the music hall and the casino bar. Yes, room stewards are very happy as I have done this a couple of times but I stopped when I was told the room stewards may be happy and thankful to receive but if management finds out they could get fired. I hear you but we let them make decision on if they want to take the chance. Thank you for the info though.
