Marriott Downtown 85 West Street at Albany Street, New York City

Has anyone stayed here before a cruise. We are leaving midweek and are curious about the area and how long it will

take to get to the Manhattan Terminal if we leave the hotel around 10AM.

Haven't stayed there but it's a straight shot up to the cruise terminal. Travel time will vary greatly with traffic conditions, but I'd say 25 to 30 minutes.

I have stayed there, but not before a cruise.  A nice hotel with good service as one would expect at a Marriott.  I recall that there were some dining options within walking distance from the hotel.

Allowing for time to get a taxi and possible traffic delays,  leaving hotel at 10:00 should get you to cruise terminal no later than 11:00  -- which is probably best time to get there, as debarking stragglers are likely to be still coming out of terminal well past 10:00.

The area is the Financial District. Very safe. You can walk to World Trade Center and South Street Seaport from here.

Some great places nearby to get breakfast.  High floors on both the north and south side have great views.
