We watched videos that said when taking the public bus do not get of at the 1st stop at Eagle Beach.   It didn't mention that the bus may not stop at the 1st available stop.  You want to get off at Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort stop and then walk across the street.
Here is what the umbrellas and loungers will look like. 


I did not know that there were outlets.

 

There were Jetskis to rent.  Also floating mats.

We went out in the water with our Doodles.  The sand is smooth.  No need for water shoes.  There is notch to see if snorkeling.   I saw a neat snake and a few fish.

After a while we went to the loungers.   Solo saw a light house way off in the distance.  He wanted to walk down the beach to take some pics so I decided to go.  The sand was so nice I just got up barefoot and started down the beach.

I looked down the beach and thought Hyperlapse.  We took off.

We walked the beach and was running out of sand.  That is when I realized I was barefoot and I might need my flip flops.   I thought,  do I really want to walk all the way back?  Besides, the good pics should be right around the corner.  So we went on even though the walk was getting rough.

After walking awhile on the rough surface my feet were getting sore but not bad.  Off to the right we saw a path and got on that.  Shouldn't be much further.

We had walked a long way.  I had to stop the Hyperlapse. We saw a bike path and headed towards it.  At this point my feet were tender.  I started to walk on the pavement and it was hot.  I believe this is where the blisters kicked in.  I got off.

 

A bit down we looked out and saw are destination. 

 

Made it to some sand.  Almost there.

 

We made it!

You are right.  I told him about the lady I met.  He said Jenny wasn't with him.  I briefly looked up Tony on one of his sights because I didn't know him.  The guy he posted he was with was eating with him tonight. .

 

Yes, Tony was cruising with a friend.  IMHO, his recent vlog with his friend, I think yesterday, was not as good as his usual entries.  I prefer him alone or with Jenny.

 

I love peaches.  I can eat a bagful.  Funny thing is I can't stand peach pie or anything with peaches in it. I just like it au naturale and unadorned.

Looking back at this walk we estimated that we walked at least 1.5 miles to this point.  At least 3 miles round trip.  It was worth it for the pics.

But I should add, very much enjoying your trip report! Sorry about your blisters. Some of them are fine, but I just can't watch the frenzied people movement.

Thanks guys.  I like to take these shots from lower down on the ground to get a different perspective.

 

This was me back in 2008 taking picture of the ship in San Diego from the ground with my curious son next to me trying to figure out what his old man is doing on the ground.

 

Although nowadays as I have gotten older, I don't think I can get on the ground anymore as I will likely pull some muscle in my body that I didn't even know I possess...🤪

Hello friends! We are on our way to Ft Lauderdale to board the Allure.   Our last cruise was Alaska so I am looking forward to a warm cruise.
We will be cruising with our usual cruise couple and we will be joined by a solo cruiser who be cruising RC for the first time. 
Here are the ports we will visit.

I have no pics of pets we are leaving but here is one I am looking forward to seeing on the ship.

 

I was just over at the Princess boards couple weeks ago lamenting the fact that they don't have any miniature golf on their ships.  We sorely missed them on our Alaska cruise couple of of months. RCI is so much more family friendly compared to Princess.

 

 

 

I remember the dog from our Allure cruise many years ago.  Although I had a "different perspective"...🤪

I tried the app a while ago. I didn't like it at all. It is much better to just use a browser.

I must have been a bad dog! I don’t have those two. I need to get them. I have just about all of their t-shirts.

 

Eagle Beach looks amazing. I jotted it down in my notes.

 

I like the Hyperlapse. Very cool. The go pro does the same thing called time warp. When you switch very easily between say 10x and real time. I be only done it once. I need to revisit.

So how was your area at Eagle Beach?  We have always been a little further south than the part of the beach you were at.  
 

We always parked ourselves by the Coco Loco Beach bar.  Their price for two loungers and an umbrella was $40, and the ones next to them were $50. 
 

The beach seemed less crowded where we were. 

 

 

It is nice that you had an outlet.   We had planned on renting a 4x4 to explore the island on our next trip, but as you know, we had to cancel.  I do know, we will be doing that 8 day again.

That would be me.  The crazy person lying in the street or on a rock somewhere, trying to get a unique angle.

 

Some of your pictures are looking very pixelated on my screen.  Not sure if that's specific to me or if others are seeing the same. I'm wondering if CC is doing some weird compressing when you upload.

Last night 🌙 I was up late trying to catch up.  It was 2am when I went to sleep and Sharon woke me up at 10.  😆 You would think I am already home.  That would be 1am to 9am central.  Good this is an 8 day cruise.   On deck 16 now and it is hot.

I think this has been the smoothest cruise I have been on.  Almost like being on a clam lake.  It has been windy at times and that hasn't moved the ship much.  The only time I have felt the sea legs was when we crossed the bridge at Curacao.  If I mess up writing something please excuse me,  so sunny I can hardly see my screen.

I am seeing some pixelated, but it may be those that are pushing the limits of zoom for those photos.
