Can we use our onboard credit for the drink plan if we purchase before our cruise?

On a group cruise and our onboard credit is getting added in the next few days. RCCL said we could use the onboard credit toward the drink plan purchase... is this true?

You sure can once on board, not sure about before hand because I just buy as soon as I board

If it shows up on your Cruise Planner, you can. ☺️There will be a banner at the top of the page.

Yes, anything in the planner can be bought with obc. Excursions, dinner, etc.

If it is the group amenity that was from the group GAP points then the OBC will not show up until day 2 on board.

As long as it's showing in your Cruise Planner, you can use it to purchase anything in the planner.

Not all OBC will show up in your cruise planner. Some will only show up once you board.

Yep.  Our Travel Agency OBCs were not available until onboard because they, the TA we used, applied a credit to our account the day we boarded the cruise.  Our Royal Visa OBCs were available pre-cruise after I requested the Credit from BoA's website.  I don't remember but I think the Royal Next Cruise Desk OBC was available pre-cruise.

We used our $50 OBC towards our drink package on our cruise planner, but the OBC was part of the promotion when we booked our cruise and was listed on our booking confirmation page.
