I just talked the BCC. Free cruise does not get promotional OBC. They cannot combine promotions. Sounds right. The confusion was that the first BCC rep I spoke to said I did get it. Glad I ran this by Cruise Critic board. Happy travels, folks! Thanks for your help.

You can talk to BCC 99 times and get 101 different answers. Knowledge and competence isn't their strong side and to a point we like it that way as many things fall through the cracks. 😉

We will be on the Edge next week courtesy of the BCC offer.  Will we get free drinks in the casino.  If so, will the one that got the BCC only get the drinks.  Or is it extended to the cabin mate.

Free drinks in the casino WHILE playing Is available to everyone and has nothing to do with a comped casino cruise. You have to order the drinks from a server, not at the casino bar, and you must be actively playing a table game or have money active in a slot machine.

This I cannot believe - everyone.  Not like the X casino is like a casino in Vegas or Atlantic City.

Everyone receives free drinks from the classic package while playing.  Therefore the answer to your question is both yes and no…lol

I got the free cruise offer on Solstice and am going next week. It's my first time getting any type of casino offer. So even though I'm at the lowly Pearl level, I'll get free drinks in the casino? Is there something on my card that will notate this...or how will they know?

Are you sure about this? I looked at a flyer not too long ago, and that was only a listed benefit for certain tier members.

As far as free drinks, when the waiter comes, mostly he asked what drink package we had, and we said ‘none, just Blue Chip Club drinks’; usually he also asked for room number—no cards.
Beware, though, because I had one single drink charged to my acct from Casino Bar, which we never used ourselves, so had to be an ordered drink.
I called Guest Relations, who said they’d call casino.
Charge wasn’t removed, so called next day and was told it was a premium drink (only classic are free).
Since I only order one type of cocktail, I could adamantly say ‘no, I only ordered ____, and it’s on the classic list’, and it was removed.

But, most folks might not be so sure at the end of a week, so beware of what you order. If it’s not a classic drink, they won’t warn you, and you will be charged.
Not sure how they can do that without having you sign something though.

On the silhouette now BCC comped.   I have no drink package for the cruise.  While playing slots , the waiter came around several times and took my drink order, delivered it and no charge.  You cannot go to the casino bar yourself though, there you will be charged.

Nuts and Kwok,

Nuts, you posted earlier that on a fully comped cruise you still got Captain’s Club points. I think I have found that I get them when I ‘upgrade’ from a fully comped cruise (thus, I am paying Something for the cruise), but don’t remember getting them for the basic fully comped cruise. Can you guys (and anybody else) confirm the Captain’s Club points? Thanks in advance!

You get CC points based on the room you booked though X/BCC; if offered a balcony and you paid the $10-$20/night to upgrade to an AQ/CC, you’ll receive the AQ/CC point amount

Like all MoveUp bids, if you win a move up bid you do not receive the extra points.  Most BCC are not linked as eligible for MoveUp, only by emailing the MoveUp dept (not the BCC) can they be made eligible

I’ve never received an offer for a comped cabin but will play more on the next cruise to see if that generates anything.  Question:  If you do get a comped cabin does that include your spouse also?  Or does the spouse have to pay a fare?

Its the sail only fare for two, you still pay fees/taxes/tipping for both of you

Perhaps I didn't lose enough... no idea, but I managed twenty something thousand points (blackjack) on our Reflection sailing (7+7 B2B) nearly three months ago - and I've been ghosted by them. No emails, no mailings, nothing. When I call, they say the best they can do is 10% off a suite, which actually makes it more expensive to book with them than with Celebrity direct online.

No worries - I'm getting my cruise fix elsewhere (and some real deals at that) until they decide they want me back!

Frankly, I don't know if that amount of points is considered good/bad/(ugly, lol). Maybe it was my time in the casino. We did not go in there every night (perhaps 2 out of 3, or 3 out of 4 evenings), and when we did, it was just for a couple of hours. Most was black chip "action".

I believe only on special nights as stated in your daily papers.

It’s whenever the casino is open when you’re playing.  It is true the free drinks are listed in the dailies/app yet this mirrors the casino hours

Guessing they do that to prevent folks from walking in when closed and demanding a drink

Yesterday I got the free balcony offer for the Solstice most likely because my wife played in the casino for a little while and used my card to get some play on it. Today she got the same offer offer under her name. Can't imagine how many cabins must still be available that they are trying to fill. Still waiting for some offers for Florida sailings. As to the free drinks while playing, I went to the bar and pointed out my wife on a machine and they had no problem making the drink. Not always easy to find a server to place the order.

We sailed in Nov and Dec 2022.  Both times, we did not have drink packages.  We played in the casino every night on both cruises and always got free drinks.  Sometimes, the servers would ask for our room numbers, sometimes they didn't, but we were never charged.  Everyone who was actively playing at the tables received free drinks.

It doesn't matter how much you win or lose, it's how much you bet.  20K+ is pretty good specifically on a lower house edge game like BJ, I would have thought that would have been enough for free rooms but their requirements are kept secret and frequently change

It's an unique perk that's rare as CCL, RCL, NCL and princess do not offer free drinks while playing to players without casino status.  The double edge sword is when the competition offers a comped room, they'll come with perks like free drinks anywhere on the ship, paid tips and wifi.  Some give you additional perks like priority boarding.  X on the other hand, when they offer comped rooms they do not include any perks
