lucas34 Posted February 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2023 Hi, Who knows which brand of shower gel Princess Cruises uses? In tender ports, is the order first come first served or is there some kind of ticket system in use and if so, in what order are the tickets distributed? Is it possible to eat more than one main course in MDR, for example lobster at dinner, or is there a charge?
VibeGuy Posted February 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2023 1) crappy proprietary shower gel from the same people who supply prisons - it’s dreadful 2) Tickets will be distributed in a lounge starting some time before tenders are ready. You can then wait elsewhere for your number to be called - it’s broadcast on the PA into public spaces or on the bridge cam channel. 3) Feast away. No charge for extra courses. Your entire party must be present to receive tickets. You are unable to be first in line and ask for 10 tickets. Excursions have first priority (or sometimes they have a separate door for them). Elites and Suites "are supposed to" have priority. That's debatable. 3. Yes, you may order more than one entre, but lobster is not an everyday dish. You may order as many lobsters as you want (within reason) on the one formal night it is served. When you do order an extra entre, it usually comes fully plated, even if you just request the main. VibeGuy Posted February 15, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2023 They’ve been having Princess shorex meet somewhere like the theatre and just sending them to the tenders without tickets - they just don’t call any numbers when there’s a group headed for shorex. I could explain the Elite/Suite mechanism but it’s like Fight Club, and I obey Rules 1 and 2.

No extra charge as of yet except for main courses in specialty restaurants. The way inflation has been running it wouldn't surprise me to see one instated someday.

cruzsnooze Posted February 15, 2023 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2023 I find the shower gel to be just fine. I get the tube of it not the bottle mounted on the tub wall. The tender tickets have already been explained. Full suites and elite tier passengers get priority tendering.

We do take our own because we don’t enjoy the one Princess provides. I also take take my own body lotion, liquid hand soap and shampoo/conditioner. All with very light fragrance. skynight Posted February 15, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 15, 2023 The showers have a pump bottle of shower gel/soap and also a pump bottle of shampoo/conditioner. It's standard generic quality. Works. Tender/Water Shuttle process. If you have a Princess excursion meet at the designated excursion location as shown in the excursion directions. Tender ticket not required. If you wish to go ashore on your own meet at the designated announced location, usually a DR, to receive your tender ticket. Tickets are handed out in order as people arrive. If you are a group, example a family, that wishes to go ashore together then all members of the group must be present and each receives a tender ticket. One person is not permitted to get tender tickets for those that are not present. After you receive your tender ticket you wait until your ticket number is called. The called group then proceeds to the pontoon to board. When you wish to return to the ship show up at the dock and wait in line. If you wait until the last minute there will be a line. Elite loyalty status and full suite passengers have priority ship to shore tender service. Sometimes you are requested to show at the main tender ticket location where you are placed in a priority group, and sometimes there is a separate location. Priority service is ship to shore only. On the return you wait in line with everyone else. At some point during the day, maybe 2 or 3 hours after tendering began passengers are informed that tickets are no longer required and you can just proceed to the operating pontoon.
