Is Johnny Rockets ever free for any meal?  I have read conflicting messages about this.

Breakfast on Oasis class ships every day.  Go early in the cruise before everyone figures it out.   There are a few additional charged items, but everything else is complimentary.

We loved Sabor on Harmony last June! Even our family members who don't eat Mexican enjoyed certain items.

I prefer that venue inside rather than outside...but one of my favorite desserts ever on any ship is their Dulce de Leche  OMG soo good.

Wonder shouldn't be all that different, sorry. To each his/her own.

I have simple tastes and enjoy buffets. I don't carve roast beef or make paninis at home so I enjoy Park Cafe for lunch. It's a step up from throwing store bought lunch meat on bread to me.

All that said, big fan of Playmakers as well. Even when cruising frugally, I'll happily pay $9 for their burger and garlic parm fries. It's the only thing anywhere on the ship I actually find to be underpriced, lol.

Speaking of burgers.  Being in a GS don't forget you have access to Room Service 24/7 with no charge. They have great burgers.

That's the one thing I didn't try last time. Thanks for the reminder. Not sure when I'll fit room service into my busy eating schedule but I'll try. 🤣

Watch the compass/app.  The horticulture officer offered an informative walking tour of central park, on one the sea days.

I second that recommendation. The horticulture tour is quite enjoyable.  We accidentally stumbled upon it on Symphony, but would do it again on any Oasis class ship.

Awesome, thanks! I'd eat the entire menu, so asking for others... is that a plain quesadilla I see?

And out of curiosity, what are the dessert-looking items in cups. Flan?

Quesadillas are chicken and cheese.

Flan and Tres Leche. Also burritos.

Suggest grabbing a few tortillas, rice, beans and the ground hamburger chili meat, too with quac and pick or salsa Roja.

Day 6, Sea day.

Relaxing day. No plans.

Morning-on Solarium deck. Weird item of the day: Older aged Family, no young kids, shows up on Solarium looking for a round lounger but carrying their stateroom comforters and pillows. Finally get one of the crew to remove someone’s blue towels (probably justified), then most head for hot tub. ?????*****???

on to other things, like food:

Lunch at Giovanni’s.

Realize the fillet is not the best steak cut to order, but ribeye was too much meat to eat.

Cheesecake was good and good size.

Nothing on deck for the evening but will wander the Wonder.

Coco Cay up for tomorrow.

... One night they had crispy breaded cauliflower in chili sauce at the windjammer, very tasty.

That sounds good!  Sounds like something my vegetarian daughter would enjoy.

thanks.     but yes Coco Cay is a miss about 10% of the time for the fleet.   I have been there when the winds were high and we barely got in.

I would be truly disappointed if we missed Coco

... Shrimp and grits wasn’t southern ...

I'm a life-long Southerner born into a family of life-long Southerners, and I have to say:  Only a few things on this menu are actually Southern.  Oh, the menu items look good, but they aren't things that originated /are super popular below the Mason-Dixon line.

Not a fan of Sorrentos pizza. Crust too thin and too greasy. But usually grab a slice or two along the way ...

I love thin crust!  Pizza is all about the toppings.

... Did you do an excursion in Nassau?  We did blue lagoon beach break, and it was the one day I could have stayed on the ship ...

We were in Nassau in December, and Nassau was BAD.  We actually felt unsafe in the crush of people squeezing through the bottleneck to enter the town, and we agreed that our family will never set foot in that town again.

Are the room service burgers the same as the Windjammer burgers?

No. They are not like burgers in WJ.  Totally different taste and texture.
