I guess we will have to try to use the mid elevators when the Princess Theatre is getting out and the forward ones during peak dining times.  Also we will need to pack our patience.

Depending on where your suite is, using the forward elevators will probably not be useful. If you used forward elevators, you would need to get off at Deck 7...make your way to the middle of the ship, and ride the elevator to Deck 6.

You will be in CC MRD on Deck 6.  The best way to access that dining room would be the center or aft elevators.

I was on Caribbean Princess a few weeks ago and saw no problem with people with scooters getting on elevators. Mid elevators may be most convenient, though.

@Cruz4SunYou mentioned that your husband was concerned about the elevators.  We found the best option was to drive straight on through the middle of the doors.  Do not attempt to turn, and do not move to one side.  Drive straight on, and back straight out.  We also found it helpful to take the first elevator with available room, even if it was going in the wrong direction.  We stayed back a bit from the elevators so I could move forward to see if there was enough room for us.  I would hold the door while my husband made his way over.  Most people were great, but once in a while I had to explain that I was holding the door so my husband could get his scooter on.  The glass elevators overlooking the atrium were often less busy.

You mentioned that you will be in a suite.  I would suggest that on the first day you go to the dining room and have a look at the Club Class area.  We found a table that suited our needs and they tried to keep it for us every night (we tend to eat early, so this was easier).

Great suggestions!  Thank you for being so specific about getting on the elevator.  We have a suite on Fiesta deck 6.  I'm hoping the club class dining will be on that deck but someone we know cruised in January and the CC dining was on deck 5 then.

@Cruz4SunWe had the accessible window suite on deck 6 in the fall of 2019 for a cruise from Quebec City to New York.  At that point CC dining was just down the hall which was super convenient.  Hopefully it is on Deck 6 when you cruise!  We weren't able to get a window table for dinner as the table set up was not great for getting through with a scooter, but we did have a nice quiet table in a less busy location to the right of the entry.  The theater is just down the hall, so no worries about elevators to and from shows.  Also super close to the International Cafe and the piazza!

It's been 3 years since our last cruise.  May 13th will be the first time my DH will be using a mobility scooter on a cruise.  I'm wondering where you are allowed to park the scooter to go to the Princess Theatre, the dining rooms, etc.  My hubby can walk a short distance with my assistance, but that's all. Any tips you have for making our first venture go smoothly will be appreciated.  We are planning on driving to the pier early to hopefully get a good parking spot in the structure and then scootering on over to the terminal.  We are elite and will be in a suite so I hope that might make embarkation easy.  Thanks in advance for your advise.

This should be helpful.

Accessible Window Suites are the best!  No need for an elevator for dinner.  Down the hall.  Use the forward elevators to access Princess Theater handicap seats and casino.  Crown Grill is just outside the cabin.  Sometimes suite breakfast is in there.  Other times, it is in Sabatini’s…one deck up.

You can put a pillow case over the seat back if you want a very obvious sign it is your scooter.  I also put a luggage tag on ours with our name on it.  Most people are courteous with the elevators but you occasionally get those people who jam in even though there isn't really enough room for them.  Our scooter also had the ability to swivel the seat so he could pull up to a table if he didn't want to move to a chair.  Accessible rooms have wider doors so no issue driving in.  We drove the scooter straight in to the spot between the bedroom & the sofa area & kept it there I'm not sure the window suite is set up the same but you will have room to park.  If you need to charge it there are plugs by the desk so park in front or if you can remove the battery to charge you can do that. All the staff are very nice & will help you with anything you need. Do check out the accessibility forum it has lots of info.

No.

The forward elevators do go to deck 6 where there is a path through the art gallery to the atrium and the deck 6 center dining room.

It is the deck 6 aft elevators that cannot be used to get you to the center dining room on deck 6.

I meant aft elevators.....(Thanks for catching that.)

Mute point since OP is in a Window Suite that is down the hall from their Club Class dining room.

You will have no issues with Club Class (Reserve) dining.  WE were also in the Fiesta Suites (F-315)(ADA) and the CC section of the Coral MDR in directly away from your suite corridor.  Literally 100' away or so.  Very convenient, except that there is not a cocktail lounge on Deck 6 for pre-dinner drinks.

Will be wonderful to have the CC dining so close to our cabin.  Most evenings we like to go the the PES lounge for pre dinner drink.  Will CC dining be available for lunch on embarkation day?  That would be a lovely start to our cruise.

Yes...should be...open for lunch on embarkation day.  With the exception of delayed board due to some kind of Coast Guard inspection or short of staff.  PES lounge is much harder to get to on the Caribbean Princess. Skywalkers aft.

It was two weeks ago when we were on board.  The Hostess is Gamu, who is very accommodating. The best seats in the room are just to the left as you enter.  If you specifically request Antonella and are lucky enough to get seated at one of her tables, you will have a delightful week. She is simply amazing!

Waiters (CC MDR also included) are rotated each voyage.  They might stay in CC MDR, but have a different station.

I found people on Princess to be very kind with the elevators, holding the doors to make sure they didn’t close on me as I entered and as I backed out and pressing the button for me. I’ve only had 2 negative experiences with people cutting in front of me for an elevator, and one of those was on another cruise line.

For the theater, I found it smoother to go in, turn around, and park facing out, so that when you go to leave, you aren’t fighting the crowds trying to turn around.

Whenever I needed to park it around the ship, I’d just look for a spot that was out of the way of people and carts, yet close enough to where I needed it to be, and I always found a good spot.

Love the tip about putting a souvenir license plate on it!!

We totally "blinged" out Moms scooter. No doubt who it belonged to!
