We had planned to play mini golf afterwards, but before we finished eating, the thunderstorms rolled in, and it began pouring. We decided to head back to the hotel for the night.

Coming up next: Finally, a beautiful and sunny day!

Ok I learned something very valuable. When I make it to Disney Springs make sure husband has a pocketful of money and I have an extra large tote bag to hold all my purchases lol.

Most importantly, make sure you send him over to the Boathouse to enjoy a few cocktails so that you can shop unimpeded. :classic_biggrin:

Post Cruise  -  (4/25/23)  -  It’s just a lazy kind of day!

We were up at 7am to a very cloudy day. The weather report wasn’t very favorable, so our plans to go over to Cocoa Village are going to be pushed back a day. Patti wasn’t hungry for breakfast, so I went down to Lite Bite for a coffee and a blueberry muffin.

Around 9:30am Patti left to check out some nearby shopping outlets, while I stayed in the room and worked on the review and pictures. Patti has arrived at the Orlando Premium Outlets, and wouldn’t you know it, the sun is out and it’s a beautiful day!

Post Cruise  -  (4/26/23)  -  Cocoa Village.

We were up at 7am to a beautiful sunny day. Again, Patti wasn’t hungry for breakfast, so I took the car to gas up and get a coffee. It’s only going to take a couple of posts to cover today’s events, so don’t blink or you’ll miss it!

Today, we’re going to take a ride over to Cocoa Village. We left the hotel at 10am, getting there just before 11am…..

I drop Patti off at the Parrot’s Cove Mall which is at the western end of the village. I’m going to drive to the eastern end and hang out at Ryan’s Pizza & Pub, where Patti will meet me when she’s done shopping…..

Just after 3pm we decided to head back to Orlando. We could see that the storm clouds were building up, which is a normal occurrence on a Central Florida afternoon. We were back on International Drive in less than an hour. We stopped at McDonald’s for an Oreo Mcflurry and a chocolate shake, before heading back to the hotel. We were thinking about heading over to Icon Park, but we both wound up crashing for the night.

Coming up next: Pirate Golf, Icon Park, and dinner with friends!

Post Cruise  -  (4/27/23)  -  Our last day in Florida (For now!).

We were up at 7am to another beautiful sunny day. Today is our last day here, as tomorrow morning we will begin our journey home. Today, Patti is hungry for breakfast! So, around 8:30am we headed down to the Fountain View Café for the buffet breakfast. Very good variety, and well worth the roughly $16 per person, which includes tax and 15% service charge.

Afterwards, Patti went out to CVS to pick up some things, and I went back to the room to work on pictures for the review. Around noon we began to pack up our suitcases and put some of our stuff in the car. Less we have to do later.

That done we hop in the car and head over to the Pirates Cove Adventure Golf…..

We think this is the nicest mini golf on International Drive. There is hardly anybody here at this time because it is very HOT out today. Normally we would play all 36 holes, but we’re only going to play 18 holes because of the heat. Even the person working the desk said that it would be crazy to play 36 holes! We decide to play the Captain’s Adventure course which is the easier of the two courses…..

IMG_5025-X2.jpg

Here are some views as we made our way around the course…..

IMG_5110-X2.jpg

We have a couple of drinks and a couple of appetizers to tide us over until dinner…..

IMG_5119-X2.jpg

We head back to the hotel to relax for a while. We are meeting our Cruise Critic friends Jim and Pat (Webecruzen), for dinner at Millers Ale House at Champions Gate, which is just off Exit 58 on I-4. It should be an easy ride, but the traffic was horrific tonight, as it took us an hour and twenty minutes to cover the 17 miles to get there.

We had a fantastic visit. We caught up on old and new news, as well as watching both the Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils hockey games. We were enjoying the company so much that we forgot to take the camera out and take pictures, so we apologize for that. As far as our meals, Patti had the salmon, and I had zingers and loaded cheese fries.

Around 9:30pm we said our goodbyes. We will see them again on the Tribe Cruise in January. The trip back to the hotel only took twenty minutes. We went right to bed, as we will be getting up very early tomorrow morning.

Coming up next: We begin our journey back to New Jersey.

Great review again. You are such an enabler, lol. I have 3 booked through Christmas 2024. Now I want to book another. I think I have a problem. You're reviews and photos really make you feel you are there looking in.

I’ve been on that ride twice at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio… it’s something else.
Glad you could meet up with @Webecruzen Can’t wait to see all of you in January.

There's so much to do in Florida, so if you have extra time,  go for it! 😀
