Montserrat is so amazing! When we were there last month, the only cat we saw was hanging out by the cheese vendors! 🐱

That's near where the one was. I hung out there myself, tasting the same cheeses over and over. We did eventually buy one.

Well, we also have horses, donkeys, goats, dogs, chickens, and lots of cats, but I wasn't sure if all that would fit in the title?

Only if there was a word for all those creatures...oh, yeah!  ANIMALS!!

Today is the big day, I suppose. I wasn't interested in an early check in time and dealing with that mob scene. Check out at the hotel isn't until noon. I picked a 10:30-11 slot (I think) but our ride is reserved for 11:30am. I think this is my 75th Carnival cruise, and some of the novelty has worn off. So a nice lazy morning.

Yesterday was a long sleep deprived hangover day and then the 8+ hour Montserrat/Cava excursion, so after a cocktail or two, headed out to fetch some supper. Went a couple of doors down from Hotel Gaudi to guell-tapas-logo-sombreado.png

Whoa, that was bigger than I was expecting....

This place

I ordered a few items for a room picnic. The bar tender seriously overpoured my drink there, but who's complaining? I guess I ordered enough food to justify it.

The pics aren't the best - the food deserved better.

I started with some

Pan con tomate

Bread with tomato / Pá amb tomàquet

Some Iberian Ham (wasn't expecting it to be sealed, but that was perfect so I can keep for a snack later)

Padron Peppers

My husband was walking by when I was looking at this pic. We aren't scheduled until November. It's going to be "are we there yet?" for the next 6 months.

They are small. He might want to order more than one.
