On Seaside. If you successfully added your credit card info before boarding do you still need to use the credit card verification onboard?

 

Also, can you see your charges daily on the app or TV?

No and yes....you can see the account on the TV or the MSC app.

IF it successfully carries over, you're all set.

If it didn't successfully carry over, you'll have to register a card onboard.

Yes, but don't be surprised if the amounts don't exactly match what you have purchased. It will eventually sort itself out in the end but the "pending" amounts can be strange numbers. Also, the daily hotel charge might all come out at once instead of daily. I've experienced both daily and all at once on MSC.

If you have a choice of credit cards to use, choose one that has no foreign transaction fees.  As an Italian company with headquarters in Switzerland, they bank in Paris.  In the past, people have found foreign transaction fees on their bank statements.  EM

If you have not already added a credit card to your booking, I would recommend not bothering.  Just do it when you are onboard, at one of the kiosks.  Quick and easy, and you can book shows at the same time and place.

In your opinion, would you book shows before dining (we have 2 specialty on 4 night cruise) or dining then shows.?

No, I did mine before sailing. I was told onboard I still need to do it at the machine on board. When I went to do it, it told me I already had a card registered.

We didn't need to book dining. We just went to the restaurant we wanted, at leisure, and booked it there.
