This will be my first cruise on Celebrity and 2 of us will be staying in an Edge Villa.  Can anyone confirm for me how many devices we will be able to have simultaneously connected to the internet with the package included with our room?  Thank you!

In an ordinary suite it is the premium wifi for 1 device for each person in the suite.

For upper suites, such as an Edge Villa, it's premium on upto 4 devices per guest 😎

The terms can be confusing.  Assuming that your purchased your suite and did not win in via a move up bid, you get one premium internet package per person, you each get one log in that can be used on as many device as you wish.  It is only one device per person at a time.

With an upper level suite, each multi device premium package  includes a log in that can be used on four devices at the same time.

Good decision to book an EV. It's a great stateroom and direct access to Retreat areas is really nice.

As Jagoffee noted, YMMV depending upon if you bought it outright (which is how I do it) or you did the move up process (no experience with that).

If you bought it outright, then ...

Our experience was such that our butler took the time with us to ensure we had all our devices connected once he escorted us to our room from the terminal.

He had notes received via our shoreside requests, confirmed all our dining reservations and spa reservations. He even confirmed specific champagnes requested for each night of the cruise.

You may find grief on this forum about seemingly many aspects of this ship. We found no issues.*

*I'm merely stating a perspective and opinion. This in no way minimizes anyone else's experience.

I'm an eternal optimist and find the good in whatever I do. IMO, the Retreat is a home run. Celebrity has done a superb job.

Enjoy it!

Regardless of how booked or won the unlimited Internet for upto 4 devices per person is not a perk but part of an upper suite. As is the unlimited dining, unlimited luandry, premium drinks package, bar setup etc

So even if you won the suite as a move up these things are your's. Enjoy the upper shite life😎

Thank you for all the information, everyone!

We booked the room and did not bid or get it via any upgrade.

I've sailed in Star class on Royal Caribbean with a "Genie", is the butler the same concept?

Yes a butler is the same as a Genie on RCCL.

I think they've changed the terms. We got four devices per person in a Sky Suite on our last two cruises.

All four devices logged in at the same time with your Sky Suite booking?

if this is a new Celebrity enhancement for all suites, I wonder why the enhancement is not being promoted.

I've not seen that in a SS or even a CS.   In a RS we did indeed get 4 devices.

We got an upgrade to a RS and initially I only had 2 devices.   The Retreat Host has to go in and change something and it then gave me all 4 devices.

That's a good question for which I am curious, inversely.

I do know that Celebrity support (butler, room attendant, shoreside concierge) were all superb in my experience. My S.O. had quite a few spa reservations and all dining reservations were handled accurately and with ease. I think you'll enjoy it. You'll be on a part of the ship with very little foot traffic. If you like privacy, it's great.

Never been on RCL.

However, I've got three Star Class staterooms booked on a future RCL cruise, for which I am taking my family (including two young kids who are interested in the particular ship). How was the service, support and embarkation/debarkation you received?

TY.

What ship?  This was not the case on Millennium in April/May of this year.

I don't think the genie and the butler are the same. The genie seemed empowered to make big things happen, including spending money (delivering real gifts to the suite or arranging a private meet and greet with a  headliner).  I've been in Celebrity upper level suites mostly for the past 10 years and I've never seen that. But the EV is great, and I don't know of another suite at sea on any line that is better.
