We had already gone to Bruges when visiting family in the Netherlands & took a ship’s bus to the train to visit Ghent for the day which is a larger but still very walkable town similar to Bruges. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g188666-Ghent_East_Flanders_Province-Vacations.html

Bruges…it’s a more compact town with a shorter journey to get there. It shows 15 km to Bruges (Brugge) and 67 km to Ghent. We got 24 hour complimentary internet on Sky Princess when our major Iceland ports were cancelled.

capriccio Posted May 30, 2023 #31 Share Posted May 30, 2023 Having lived in Belgium for over 3 years, the town of Bruges gets my highest recommendation followed by Ghent.. If you are interested in WWI don't miss Flanders and especially the town of Ypres.

cimarron42 Posted May 31, 2023 Author #40 Share Posted May 31, 2023 Shows have been at 8pm and 10.15pm. No idea about dining rooms as we eat early (5.30 - 6.00pm) and there is plenty of tables available.

Kay S Posted May 31, 2023 #43 Share Posted May 31, 2023 This is frustrating. We are on that June 17 cruise. Will they switch back to Skagen (?) like they have done on the current cruise?

That explains why our Enchanted Princess cruise has two time adjustments in ports for July due to “engine maintenance”.
