Are paper boarding passes still required to board the ship?  If so, how do I go about printing it out?

No, the QR code on your phone or Medallion is all you need.

I have 40-ish days until boarding and still can’t pick a boarding time. At this juncture I’m assuming the app actively hates me. 😢

No one checks boarding time. You don't need one. Just show up. 

You don't need to be, "Green," either, meaning having the QR code. An example would be you prefer arrange your credit card info at the pier.

No, there are no boarding passes.

Simply screen shot the QR code and save on your phone, that way you don't even need to fumble with WIFI in the terminal.

No, they don't exist.  You can't print a document that doesn't exist. 

 

Show your QR code from the app or your Medallion for boarding.

We didn't need the QR code when we boarded Sky on June 3rd.  They only wanted to see our passports.

Passport and medallion gets you on board. Nothing needs to be printed except for luggage tags

It is always a good idea to print out the Travel Summary as well in case there is any problem with packages and excursions purchased.

We don't have a printer, and don't know of anyone with one anymore, as they're not needed. 

Screenshots will suffice.

Luggage tags need to be printed.

Travel summary needs to be printed.

I have heard that they will hand write luggage tags at the pier/port if you do not have them.  I always print ours beforehand, though.

I am within 10 days of my cruise, the QR code just showed up on the home screen. Before, it just showed the number of days until the cruise and that we were green line.

The QR code appears a week or so before the cruise when you open the app. There is no need to take a screen shot of it.
