mwj Posted August 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2023 A friend who cruises infrequently sees the following cruises currently available for $100 per person for an inside room. I do NOT see the same when I log in. Your experience may and will likely vary. Rare Haljo1935 Posted August 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2023 They are private fares, so visibility will vary among Mariners. If you're eligible to receive that rate, you have to be logged in to see it.
retird Posted August 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2023 Did your friend get an email advising of the sailings or did he randomly do a mock booking for all those cruises and discover they were only $100. Pp?
Rare Banditswife Posted August 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2023 I get these offers occasionally. They are usually $100-$200 pp, but you also have to pay port fees & taxes & full payment must be paid at time of booking. Adding in the port fees & taxes makes them roughly $700-$900+, depending on length of cruise for 2 people. They are also usually guarantee insides & sometimes guarantee OVs. And they sell out fast. My personal experience: I called immediately upon getting an email, I told the rep 2-3 of the itineraries I would be interested in & was told they were sold out. Another thing to note on these is that you can use your own PCC or travel agent, they don't have to be booked with the agent listed on them. RD64 Posted August 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2023 $100 it may be, but not playing the guarantee game- I lost on that one recently, and never again.
Rare Shippy Posted August 27, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2023 that is the casino price when you put in your card number & have had a recent offer. I got an email offer from Holland. I was surprised to see that price also when I checked with my regular internet agent. But...only if i put in my Holland number. If I left it out...the prices changed.
Rare POA1 Posted August 27, 2023 #7 Share Posted August 27, 2023 The $100 guarantees on this sale can be upgraded for a price. I want to say that you can get an assigned room for only $100 more.
AllTheSun Posted August 28, 2023 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2023 (edited) I was offered like $100 for a 1 night Seattle-Vancouver. Does this mean I’m one step closer to HAL Baller Status?!! 🤣 Edited August 28, 2023 by AllTheSun

highscar Posted August 28, 2023 #11 Share Posted August 28, 2023 Have been a mariner for 40+yrs. Didn’t know about the number. I’ll have to be a detective and find it.

Have they gotten scratch off Tix? Did they sign up for a free cruise drawing?
LocoLoco1 Posted August 29, 2023 #16 Share Posted August 29, 2023 Casino Offers are often $Free$. $100/pp is quite common actually.
RD64 Posted August 29, 2023 #17 Share Posted August 29, 2023 Perhaps you should change the heading to Casino Rate $100 as the title is rather misleading - it is not open to everyone - and definitely not to most Mariners.
GatorMomInNC Posted August 29, 2023 #18 Share Posted August 29, 2023 Wow, so I normally do not gamble on cruises at ALL since my first or 2nd cruise. and never on HAL. Not a moral issue, just consider it boring and a waste of time. I have played Bingo once or twice, on Disney, which is technically gambling, I guess, but mainly because they make a lot of jokes and it is kind of entertaining. But, I am sailing on HAL next week. If I play bingo or spend $10 on the slot machines, does that mean I might get offered one of these cruise deals?? That is a gamble I might want to take... Respectfully, they're sent from the Casino Dept (no history of donating to casino required), flyer says "casino offers" and if you book one, they will tell you it's a casino rate. Flyer also says "free stateroom." The $100 is given back as OBC.
