If they are indeed, making changes to Celebrity to make it more like Royal Caribbean, that should tell you which line is the biggest moneymaker for the RCL Group. If it was Celebrity, they would be doing just the opposite.

I’ve sailed enough on Royal to know it cost the same or more for equal amenities…drinks etc…I much prefer the vibe on Celebrity.

We sailed on Royal for years, got to the time in our life whereas we wanted less kids and more elegance, better food, quieter atmosphere.  Celebrity fit us perfectly.   Now they want to change that, which has made us very sad.  So now we feel like our ship has sunk,  and we will have to swim upstream to find a replacement.  We haven't been able to cruise for the past 6 months because hubby's health issues. However we will sail Beyond (2nd time) in November.   I will be the one walking around with a clipboard taking notes!  Price and Food is at the top of our list. Luckily I booked this last year.  Time will tell if we jump ship to another cruiseline.

We are on the Ascent in Jan 23, still very much looking forward to it.

Biggest difference for us is the vibe...happy to cruise with a more mature crowd with less emphasis on water slides and rock climbing walls.
