I broke down the Princess Cruise Wedding Package prices

And it’s not pretty.  The wedding with reception is actually a good deal. But the fact that $2,000 buys you TEN guests, hair and makeup, and a whole ass private cocktail reception with live music …. While $1,400 buys you two guests and a $100 in room breakfast anyone can book is honestly disgusting.

I inquired, and at first contact at least there is no option to add on guests to anything below the “timeless ceremony” package.

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.  For us, looks like we will book a specialty lunch on our special day and renew our vows as a toast. It’ll be lovely and won’t cost us $4,000 just to have a few friends and family present.

Breakdown below.

It used to be reasonable. Sorry to see the prices skyrocket.

Renewal was free. They use to have a mass renewal where those who wanted to participate meet and the Captain would take over.

Now everything is about $. Another example ship tours.

When did this change? Just did a Vow renewal in January on the Regal for $249.

We've gotten a Vow renewal every 5 years and the last time we had wonderful time with Captain Paolo. A little rocky tracking down the coordinator but she finally came through.

Plus, I don't see anything on the Onboard services about weddings or Vow renewals, how does one inquire?

May have to come up with a new Vow renewal tradition at that price ($1595).

We were looking forward to 25th-anniversary vow renewal during our Antarctica cruise in December. I booked the cruise when the vow renewal price was reasonable and was shocked it went up so much. I wonder if they would've honored the old price had I booked it under the old scheme. Needless to say, we are not renewing our vows.

Disappointing.  I was hoping to do a vow renewal for our 30th this year, but not at that price!

It use to be reasonable at one time.

I guess there are some folks who will pay any price they ask.

We will be on the Enchanted Princess next month 21 day Med cruise celebrating our 61st Wedding Anniversary. Would have done the renewal, but used that $1,600 to buy some tours.

Happy Cruising!

Wow!  You didn’t tell us you were a model!  Simply gorgeous and elegant and classy….lovely wedding.  Thank you for sharing your pics of your very special day.

Thank you so much! We had the best time with that! The funniest part was the next year, different ship, same line: we got on and were walking around, and found a few pictures of ourselves. The shipboard photo company was using them. (Needless to say, we were laughing our ...donkeys...off!)

I can certainly see why they would want to use your photos!  They’re awesome!

OMG thank you for sharing these! I have been trying to convince my daughter that it would be awesome to get married on a Princess ship. Which ship was this and where was the ceremony held (wedding chapel, bar area, etc.)? Did you have a coordinator onboard to help things run smoothly?

It was on the Solstice . They held it in Michael's Club and provided a wedding coordinator from day one to assist. This was a vow renewal but they made it feel like a wedding day, including cake.

Celebrity does this so well!  My niece had an engagement party arranged for her on Edge a few years ago.  She was thrilled with the results and her photos were beautiful.
