New items back on MDR menu?

How often do the menus change?   We are sailing reflection in January.    Booked the MDR on night 4 because they had a turkey dinner on that menu.   But now that menu is very different and turkey is not offered any other night

The menu you see now in the is a place holder.  The MDR menus have been changing recently. If you want to see what menus are currently being offered on your ship you can do that.  In the app click the calendar icon and go to the bottom of the screen browse our skips, select your ship and then select the current sailing.

There is no guarantee that the menus will be the same or in the same order for your sailing.

Just checked the Silly TA menus….not exciting!  DH usually orders 2 shrimp cocktails for an appetizer when we eat on MDR.  I would suspect that even though they aren’t on the appetizer menu for each day, they can still be ordered.  Any thoughts on that?

I had it last week on Silhouette.

4 shrimp included and it was on every day.

I was also served these as vegetables with fish one day.

I though they were baked beans but was told it was chickpeas.

Thereafter, I asked for fresh vegetables daily.

My husband was served with ‘cake x2’ instead of vegetables.

He was told it was sweet corn cake!

Not healthy in my opinion, a balanced diet should include vegetables.

Thereafter we asked for fresh vegetables daily.

How far in advance can you generally see the specific menus for a cruise?

It really depends on the ship and itinerary.   If it is a repetitive cruise you are more likely able to see them months early.   As far as accuracy -  50/50.

On my November 25 Edge cruise the Luminae first 7 days are loaded but nothing for MDR and Blu.  I"m sure it is just a place holder.

Between 48 hours to 10 days they are generally loaded and again may be changed later.

I've been closely following the MDR menus for Reflection in preparation for my upcoming cruise.  I recorded the entire weeks menus on Day 1 for the current cruise.( I've been doing this for several weeks now)  I've then been re-checking the menus daily and the Executive Chef has been making modifications to the menus as recently as of the day of service, adding additional entrées or appetizers or substituting out items. You can never fully trust the menu until you sit down at the table.

take a glance at the evenings dinner menu and If I'm not seeing anything I like I just go to the OVC as There I can always find something.

I am definitely seeing more menu items on the menu.

Tilapia is also missing from the menu.  Which is a plus in my opinion.

I definitely like the new menu better than the previous one.

Yuk. Worst fish in the world in my opinion. Not healthy, over-farmed, cheap, includes over 100 species of fish so there is no consistency. Often fed feces from other fish on farms.

Not sure if it's changed (again) since Feb. but the shrimp cocktail then only had three shrimp so he might have to order 4 of them.

If you don't eat fish from fish farms you will not be eating much fish these days.
