I hate saying no but I avoid the casino like the plague. My gambling days are behind me and I can't stand the smoke. We pop in to use our free play (now in the tiny non-smoking casino) and that's it. If you have any food-related chores, let me know. 😁

The Anthem this week hasn’t bothered us at all.  I honestly haven’t seen 1 person smoking in there.

That's great! We usually don't even like walking through the casino b/c it can be so bad.

as long as I can get my afternoon cappuccino, this really doesn't matter to me.

I don't visit the DL sine the traditional dining was moved up to 5, however I do visit for my morning, afternoon and evening decaf cappuccino.  As previously posted, I have one and take it to my cabin after having been fleeced at the Casino.🤣🤣

Unfortunately you haven’t.

Under the general terms and conditions of the programme, they can withdraw in whole or in part any or all of the benefits or facilities with or without notice. They can also vary, solely at their discretion, any of the benefits or terms of the programme whenever they wish.

The programme is free to sign up to. It is a concession that is entirely in their gift. 🤷‍♂️

I know perks/benefits can be added or taken away at their discretion.

I didn't imply the CAS program wasn't free to join. You don't even have to cruise with RC to become a CAS member. I don't see it that way. I paid for each tier level.

I'm surprised to learn that Royal sells C&A tiers. I thought the only way to gain status was by booking then sailing aboard their ships.

I think this still varies by ship. I was a little surprised to see my early dining was still 5:30 on Allure next week (according to my invoice). The app says 5:15-5:30... no idea what that means exactly... we'd like you there at 5:15 but 5:30 is OK? 🤷‍♀️

This makes me smile.  We noticed on the app that dinner was 5:30, but we received a letter in our room that it was 5. 😉

By paying to go on the cruise. Everyone has bought their tier level.

That doesn't surprise me. It's the 15 minute range that got me, lol.

You would certainly like to think so. Sadly that isn’t the reality. The purchase is the cruise and any additional products that are offered and accepted. The loyalty programme is simply a concession that they provide purely as they see fit from time to time.

If you ever make it on the Spectrum, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Completely non-smoking..."a breath of fresh air"...smells like luxurious aromatherapy scent is being pumped in the casino.

During our first "walk-thru" we actually stopped and couldn't believe our noses...all we can say was "Wow! It smells good in here!"

* The Spectrum has no Diamond Lounge, thus no need for a nameplate change to Crown Lounge. It has a large Gold Room (high rollers) that was partly designated as the DL on our recent 12N sailings....door was always open.

* Coffee vouchers (1 per person per day) was added to D, D+, and P's drink vouchers to alleviate the queue for the coffee machine.

Highly unlikely but thanks. That's great for those who frequent the casino and the coffee voucher is nice if it's in addition to a coffee machine.

Can confirm 5:15 for us with a 5:30 in app

It saves all the lines and Q’s outside

so the masses don’t all arrive at the same time

A window eases the flow 😎

My invoice (Oasis) said 5:30, but the app states 5 and seated no later than 5:15PM.  We had dinner at the 3rd deck MDR which is also used for MTD.

On my October Oasis sail, there was more of a line at Starbucks than at the DL.😄

At least you were notified by a letter, we found out the first night when we saw the sign as you enter the MDR.

That's usually my experience. I usually sail with low top tier numbers (spring break and summer on boring itineraries) and wake up very early. I'm lucky if I see another human when I get my coffee.

Not earlier than I get mine.  Sometimes I have to help them clean the machines😇

No, not that early... but I do empty the grounds at least once on most cruises. I consider it a necessary skill. 😁

I'm an early riser myself and at the track at 5:30. The promenade is a ghost town at that time.

That's what my wife does... so I get up with her but my version of exercise is walking to the DL/CL for coffee and then somewhere for "pre-breakfast."

I love walking through the ship in the early hours. Central Park is very peaceful and I often go to Park Cafe when it opens at 6:30am.
