WORLD CRUISE 2024

Recommended Posts

The sail in was worth the price of the cruise.  Simply spectacular!  It’s a beautiful clear day. No Fog!

Good afternoon, I understand what you are going thru and I feel sorry for you. I experienced this toilet problem 8 days out of 10 days cruising on this ship early December 2023.  Hopefully, Regent will take a decision and fix this problem with a major refurbishment.  Good luck for the rest of your cruise!

Any word on possible change of itinerary after Maldives?  Going south instead of north?

Hi Marc.  No official announcement yet.  Everyone says they can’t see us going through the Red Sea or Suez Canal.  We will wait and be surprised.

We picked the absolute perfect day to be here.  The weather was perfect.  We were on the Alcatraz and Sausalito excursion.  We went to Alcatraz first.  We took the ferry to the Rock.

We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and had a photo stop.

We were so lucky.  Usually Fog!

We had 1 hour of free time in Sausalito.  We were back at 6:00.

This morning I got a special "Upgrade your horizon" offer for the April 8th segment from Abu Dhabi sailing to Rome, original itinerary - which bearing in mind the current situation, seems a little optimistic.  (We didn't accept the offer as we're already booked on Voyager around that time)

Someone asked Luke about the WC on Splendor the other day and he said there will be a major itinerary change.

Which makes it all the more surprising that they continue to sell that segment with no mention of likelihood of itinerary change.  OK, I can see why continuing to take bookings assists with cashflow, but I find that actively promoting this particular sailing to be surprising, given the likelihood of a great deal of additional administration nearer the time.

Regent are also still selling the April cruise on Navigator, Abu Dhabi to Athens (plenty of availability 🤨)

We cancelled that segment of a B2B in November, but it appears that some guests are still sticking with it.

Difficult decisions for Regent and their guests.

We will watch with interest what routing the WC eventually takes.

Agree with this quote "Possibly the best Destinations Manager working on Regent ships ......"

He was the destinations manager on World Cruise 2023 - still remember how excited he was to tell us that we would be able to tender into Easter Island. Always in the Know and on the Go.
