it was $32 per day on Allure this month.  Maybe higher price was a function of the shorter cruise.  We shared our free days and didn’t buy.  Just plan to use our free days on Utopia too.

Wow! I think that’s the highest internet price I’ve seen. We’re doing a 4/3 B2B on Allure in a couple of months and I’m planning to just use our Diamond days. Internet in my cruise planner for both sailings has been $20.99 on sale.

Bills Chiefs game last night was a great game.  Shame Bass missed that kick.  OT would have been a exciting I bet.

Pit Stop was packed so I decided to have a chill night and watch the game in the room.  Besides we have an early morning departure for our catamaran excursion.

So here’s some more info on The Pit Stop which is unique to Jewel.  (However a trade off in my mind is that there is no Pub on this ship)  Pit Stop is located in between the Casino and the Coral Theatre.  There are tons of TV’s  everywhere literally in all directions.  Nice circular bar area.  It does get some stale smoke smell lingering out of the Casino.  It isn’t too bad IMO.

Thanks for doing this report. My GF and I were booked on this cruise but I had to cancel because of my second back surgery in October. I had booked this cruise for Trinidad and Tobago, I had been to all of the other stops. We are also D+.. Waiting to read about these two ports & see the pictures. We could have been in Barbados today, at least where we are in Illinois, it's finally suppose to get above freezing today. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

Right past customs outside the port area.  Close to where we caught taxi for the tour.

Done that walk many times going into Bridgetown.

Here’s some shots from the catamaran.

This was a private - non royal excursion.  I made the reservation online but didn’t pay until we boarded the catamaran today.  It was the “lunch cruise” as they call it in the website.

Taxi rides to and from the boat were included in the $140 per person cost.  There was lunch included which was bbq chicken, fish, rice, coleslaw, salad, mac/cheese with unlimited banks beers and liquor.  Food was great.  I didn’t expect much but it was truly good.

There were 2 snorkeling spots ( we don’t snorkel) .  The first was with sea turtles and the second was a shipwreck i think.  We did see many sea turtles even without snorkeling.

We cruised up the coast and parked off Paines Bay were we had lunch and time to swim/float.  The captain was awesome.  He told us about all the celebrities who stayed or own the property in the coast.

Snorkel gear was provided if you needed it and they had noodles for those that just wished to swim and float around leisurely ie: me.

We mostly hung out in the front of

the boat at the nets over the water taking.  There were only 12 people total &

we were the only 2 off the cruise ship.  Others were a lovely bunch of couples from England mostly - Manchester.  Everyone was super nice and we all got along well.  Definitely a great time.  I’d book the same thing again if I had the opportunity.

From the Royal App:

Barbados - Getting around town
The distance from the pier to the main terminal is around 9 minutes walk or 2 minutes by the free shuttle service. The Bridgetown Cruise Port (Deep Water Harbour) is located 15 to 20 minutes walk to the downtown. Taxi shuttle are available from the main terminal to the downtown, and taxis price to go to the nearest  beaches is $5 to $10 per person.
The cruise terminal of Bridgetown has duty–free (jewelry, clothing, souvenirs and crafts). There’s also a tourist information desk and a telecommunications center with internet and postal services. Most of the Bridgetown sites are within walking distance of the city center.
