This is my go-to cocktail as well! Too bad they don't have the shaved coconut like most Boleros on other ships (I say "most" because Oasis and Odyssey did not have the shaved coconut in Boleros either which is b.s. considering it's one of their signature drinks). If you enjoy the coconut syrup and wish to try something new/different, head up to the Schooner Bar and order a rum old fashioned sometime

Congrats!! Bon voyage Steel City 🙂

Rum Old Fashioned will most definitely happen at some point 🍻

The pre-cruise cruise planner price will always be substantially cheaper.  If you are going to get it you'd be better off getting before you get on board.

In some cases, buying onboard is cheaper for those that use their free D & D+ days and don't always need internet the first day or two onboard.

In our case we are casino prime members and get 30% off internet booked onboard and always works out cheaper.    We usually skip buying internet on day 1 since our phones will work until dinner time and nice to avoid internet night 1.   then we use our free internet days, then buy onboard for remaining 3 or 4 days and get our 30% off.

Example:

our next sailing would cost $237.93 for current sale for a 7 night cruise for 2 devices.

if we wait to buy onboard, use our 2 free days starting the morning of day 2 then purchase 4 days @ $25.00* per day and use our 30% casino discount we would pay $140 for 2 devices

*$25.00/day was the onboard rate on our last sailing.

Shrewd. I'll be D+ soon and be looking at that possibly.  I'll never be prime though.

So envious, transatlantic last year on Jewel was my first Royal cruise, and so perfect. I get goosebumps imagining I'm there boarding!

A favor, if you can, in the entrance hallway to the Windjammer, is artwork of sailboats, what is the name of the artist? Thank you and I hope you have the best time ever.

Artist may be Duaiv

it was $32 per day on Allure this month.  Maybe higher price was a function of the shorter cruise.  We shared our free days and didn’t buy.  Just plan to use our free days on Utopia too.

To whoever asked about internet pricing.  I will find it eventually.  Got sidetracked with free CL drinks and football.  🤪

Sailed on Rhapsody last March b2b2b... twice in Tobago, 3 visits to Trinidad.

Trinidad is not a pretty city where you would want to walk around in on your own around the port... do some homework (google is your friend) on this. If you do anything it should definitely be on an excursion, RCI or private. I did both on the first two visits, then stayed on the ship the third (first time ever not getting off the ship). Trinidad to me is like what most here on CC say about Nassau (sea day).

Tobago is another story. Lots and lots of private tour guides wanting your business at the port gate. Lots to see (island tour), Argyle waterfall is a great little hike/walk and swim/climb. Buccoo Reef snorkelling and Pigeon Point Beach are highlights, however all tourists go there. I thought Buccoo Reef was over-stated... snorkelling was underwhelming, but the beach is gorgeous (but far from port 50min). knowing both options I really enjoyed the island tour... driving, scenery, lunch at a beach, photo ops, hike/swim waterfall.... great day!

Bottom line... if you need that "rest" day on the ship, stay on board in Trinidad

I have a friend who was born in Trinidad and another born in Tobago.I have never been to either but heard much better things about Tobago.

They brought out the popcorn machine for the 2nd football game.  $3.24 charge for popcorn 🤔

Plus gratuity.   When we bought some on Symphony, it was stale, and a mighty small portion.

How was it on Jewel?

We decided dinner will be late room service.  CL spread was good & was good enough to hold us off until after the football games.  Royal Burger sounds good.

DW went to the theatre to check out The Barbie Movie while I watch football in the Pit Stop.  😏

Popped fresh in front of us so we knew it was fresh.  The guy ahead of us complained that he got “the old maids” of the popcorn kernels.  I was sitting at the bar laughing hysterically.

Portion was OK I guess.  Definitely seems like a bean counter implementation.

Looks good!  What is in a Coconut mojito besides the Tito's?

DW ordered that one but it’s usually coconut rum or coconut cream added to a normal mojito for the coconut flavor.

I am not a big coconut fan but I tolerate in small quantities.
