getawayfromitall Posted January 20 #1 Share Posted January 20 We have two cruises booked back to back on Celebrity Reflection and have already checked in on line for the first cruise. Does anyone know if we will need to check in again for the second cruise, or does Celebrity treat thit this as one cruise, which would make a second check in unnecessary ? Thank you. Rare cruisestitch Posted January 20 #2 Share Posted January 20 They do not treat it as one cruise, however, the second cruise check-in is not required for consecutive cruisers. each cruise is a separate entity, and your unused onboard credit, Internet minutes, etc. do not transfer from one to the next. Your onboard account will be closed out at the end of the first cruise and you will start a new onboard account for the second cruise. while you do not need to check-in again, you will need to report to your muster station on the new cruise whether you stay in the same stateroom or not
LB_NJ Posted January 20 #3 Share Posted January 20 They used to give a small discount for B2B cruises depending upon length of cruise. Also, make sure Celebrity has the cruises linked in their system. NOT ALL Celebrity reps know how to do this. I do not believe it is automatic. Also, at some point while you are onboard for the first leg make sure that the onboard staff know this is a B2B. It makes things easier for you. If it is a US port they require you disembark between the 2 cruises.
mickey89 Posted January 20 #4 Share Posted January 20 Recent B2B cruises returning to Port Everglades you could only leave the ship prior to 9am. After this time you were a prisoner aboard and were not allowed to disembark. Celebrity security personnel blamed the Immigration authority for this change........be warned. B2B, two different cruises. I always check in for both legs. Personal preference.
Rare Essiesmom Posted January 20 #6 Share Posted January 20 It’s been years since my B2B2B but at that time when you did your online checkin there was a place to check consecutive cruise. EM

Rare Essiesmom Posted January 20 #8 Share Posted January 20 I think it was tucked in to the section where it wanted to know about travel after the cruise. EM

That is how it has always worked at Port Everglades. B2B's have a choice to either disembark prior to final call usually around 9:00-9:15 and use a Transit Pass to return to the ship. If you use this option you can not re-board until general boarding begins. The other option is to wait for B2B processing where at about 9:30 you are escorted off the ship so they can zero out the ship. During this processing you go through immigration and receive your new sea pass. You are then escorted back aboard and can either have free access to the ship until general boarding OR go ashore like at all other ports but again can not come back aboard until general boarding begins around 11:30. It is much better than Sydney where even B2B must leave the ship and not permitted back aboard until general boarding begins. Once back on board you can not leave the ship. That is now NOT allowed. You get one chance to go ashore, that is before 9.00am, after that you cann't go ashore.

I booked these cruises at separate times and I did not use a TA. Do I need to call celebrity to let them know that I am B2B or can they see that by the dates? lola2013 Posted January 20 #15 Share Posted January 20 My head is spinning. I have previously read multiple different posts about B2B day...each with different information. I called Celebrity last week and got an answer that most closely matches Jim's info in post #9. We are planning to get off the ship (hopefully as early as possible) to meet relatives that live in the area...quick lunch and return. We also are switching cabins and hope to be able to at least put our valuables into the safe in the new cabin before leaving the ship. I know I have to attend a meeting during the first cruise to get all the info I need.

Our stateroom attendants have always acknowledged that we are B2B cruises. But we always stay in the same stateroom for both legs. B2B are two different cruises. You can go into your CP and you will see them there listed separately. Edited January 20 by doghog

AlbertaCruisers Posted January 20 #18 Share Posted January 20 I always check in for all back to back cruises and include pictures and my credit card info and it has made the back to back process seamless. It is easy to do.

Maybe you don't wish to go ashore but many do. It most certainly affected us in December when we were stopped going ashore at 11.00am. In previous year we always were able to do a little shopping in a local mall. In the letter given to all B2B passengers there was no mention of this change in policy. You should also get a very small (in our case $50) off each leg. The amount goes up I think for longer trips - we are doing b2b for a 5 night followed by a 3 night.

They will have a special desk setup for B2B (Transit Passengers). For your cabin - we usually make contact with our new Stateroom Attendant and ask to call our room when the current occupant leaves their room. When they call we swap contents of our Room Safe. I think people are asked to be out of their room by 8:00 buy many leave when the go down to breakfast. Most of the time they ask you to pack up anything in your room in drawers and leave hanging items in closet . They move the hanging items without having to be packed. Having said that on the World Cruise since there were so many B2B's (1,200+) they asked for everything to be packed up.
