AmyJA Posted February 14 #526 Share Posted February 14 After I headed back to the room. The boys have finished their last drink before they get packed. One last tribe meet up. Pam was late because she was getting her official beer drinking certification. Our last dinner is at Rudi's.

Rare Jamman54 Posted February 15 Author #529 Share Posted February 15 Day # 8 - (January 21st) - Goodbye Celebration, Hello Orlando! When we awoke at 6am the Carnival Celebration was already docked back in Miami. Here are some early morning Miami views….. Here is the Diamond debarkation information…… Here is the General debarkation information…… We got our carry-off bags ready and we’re ready to go. What follows is one of our best debarkations ever! The instructions for Diamond luggage debarkation said to meet in Celebration Central at 8am. We left the cabin at 7:20am to head downstairs. We took the stairs because getting an elevator would have taken forever. When we got to Celebration Central we were told that the Diamond luggage was ready and we could leave the ship. So we left the ship at 7:30am, and we really never stopped walking. We made our way to the escalator down to the baggage claim area, and once down there a porter came up to us asking if we needed assistance. Heck yes! You usually have to track one of these guys down. We found our luggage easily. The porter loaded us up, and into the passport line, through facial recognition, and out the door! The porter followed us over to Parking Lot “G”, and loaded up our car. We tipped him well for his efforts. The line to get out of the parking lot and pay for parking took about fifteen minutes. The rates are $22/day, or $154 for the week. Once out of the lot we got our last looks at the Carnival Celebration….. The Carnival Magic is also in port today….. It’s easy finding your way out of here. Just follow the signs to the tunnel….. Once through the tunnel we say goodbye to Miami. Don’t know when, if ever, we will be back here again….. Soon we are on I-95 North, which we will take to the Florida Turnpike, and to our destination today, Orlando…… This ends the cruise portion of our review. You are welcome to jump ship now if you would like, or remain on board for the remaining six days of our adventures. At the end of it all we will give you our final thoughts. Whether you leave or you stay, we would like to thank you all for reading!!! To be continued….. 39

Rare Jamman54 Posted February 15 Author #534 Share Posted February 15 After a four hour trip up the Florida Turnpike, we are just about there…. It is too early to check into our hotel, so we’re going to stop and have lunch. Once we turned onto International Drive, we passed some of our favorites…… We decided on the Bahama Breeze….. Here are some inside views….. Here are the menus….. I’ve got my Aruba Red….. We shared an order of beef empenadas (already missing two!)…… Patti had the salmon…… I had the jambalaya….. To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted February 15 Author #535 Share Posted February 15 After we finished eating, we made our way over to the Rosen Inn International on International Drive. It’s a three star hotel, but you can’t beat it for $70 a night. We checked in, and as we had requested, we were given a room on the 6th floor of the 200 Tower. We unloaded the car and brought up our suitcases and cooler for ice. This is our room # 2613…… We were done. Patti’s feet were really bothering her, and I was tired and suffering from the cruise crud. Patti took the car and drove over to the nearby Walgreens for some meds and snacks. Once we were medicated, we enjoyed our snacks while watching the football games. I crashed during the fourth quarter of the Bills / Chiefs game. Coming up next: We return to Disney Springs!

ZoeyVictoria Posted February 15 #539 Share Posted February 15 So, Jamman, you were right again! We took your Deal or No Deal advice tonight on the Pride. Purchased three cards for $50, and two of the three were $30 casino free play winners! Ahead $10 and just to make it more fun, I am going to spin a slot machine with a $1.50 bet twenty times to see what will accumulate. Hoping Gary will do the same with his $30.

He will take us to our cabana and show us around. There are only four Pool Cabanas, and we are given the Tambora Cabana, which is the second cabana from the left….. These four sets of loungers by the pool belong to the cabanas…. Each cabana has a hammock….. Here are a couple of views inside our cabana….. In addition to a television and wi-fi, we also have a safe….. These snacks, sodas, and water are included in the cabana rental….. This is our balcony….. Here are some views from our balcony….. This view will give you the lay of the land. Our hangout place will be at that alcove on the right between the main pool and the bridge. That gray building on the left is the bathrooms, which is very handy! The cushioned loungers on the left side of the picture are part of the VIP area. For about $100 you get two loungers, an umbrella, pool noodles, unlimited zipline and water slide. This is where we would go if we didn’t have a cabana……. To be continued…… Thanks to reading your reviews I booked a pool cabana the day I booked my Celebration cruise over a year ago. It’s in May, absolutely can’t wait and these pics make me even more exited. I also booked a beach cabana in Mahogany Bay last year which we loved. With the price increase we are one and done for cabanas unless traveling with others but thank you for the recommendations. Oh, and I booked Paradise Beach in Cozumel yesterday for our Jubllee cruise in November, you haven’t steered me wrong yet. 😜 Now I need to catch up on this review, it’s been another fun ride so far! Glad that you are enjoying those cabanas! The price increase will put a crimp on future cabana plans, but we have another Pool Cabana at Amber Cove in April that we booked at the old price. If you haven't already, we recommend a daybed at Paradise Beach. 😄

This is your view from the top….. Those guys down there will catch you. Maybe…….. They head up to the Sky Bar….. Lots of nice views from up here….. To be continued….. are zipline and water slide passes included with the cabana? I thought I read somewhere it is. Anyway, I have this booked in a few weeks and need to get passes for the grands if not included. Thanks in advance.

I have family near there so my need to make more visits to see them. 😋
