How does one get a Princess Casino Offer?

I recently came off a Princess Cruise and played slots in the casino regularly. Once we got a casino offer for playing substantially less, but this time (about a week ago) we got nothing.

How do the offers work? Do you get them randomly or do they appear after you cruise? Any information would be appreciated.

Our offers have arrived via announcement in our cabin on day before disembarkation.  Other CC guests have mentioned emails, but we never received one that way.

We’ve been getting emails from Princess for years offering free interior and occasionally balcony cabins  on select sailings.  We also get the same emails from Celebrity but always for balconies or higher.  With HAL we get a casino rate on all cruises we choose with an approximate discount of 30%.

We are not huge gamblers, but we do spend considerable time in the casino.  Funny though, we haven’t been in a Princess casino in quite some time because of the smoking, and they still offer free cruises and we always get casino OBC wth every booking we make.  Thank you, Princess,

My friend and I were on the Sky Princess in January.  We played the slots, but we aren’t high rollers that’s for sure.  Always the penny slots, betting around a dollar or a little more.  Never more than a $2.00 bet.  Towards the end of the week, we each had offers from the casino.  She was offered a free interior cabin and I was offered $500 in casino cash.  We would have to sail by August, 2024.

i asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago and i think the consensus was its not how much you spend but rather how many times you play.  My wife plays roulett and will drop $100 with just a couple play where should she just be playing the penny slots and betting a little at a time like mentioned above to get he number of plays up.  The reason this explanation resonated with me is because we have relatives that do exactly that, play penny slots on RCL and i dont think they have paid for a cruise in years other than the occasional upgrades.

Now the down side on Princess is can i convince my wife to spend a couple hours in a smoky casino...  Im not even sure im up for that if its too bad.

You would need to spend more than a few hours. We play slots $2-$5 per spin probably 3-4 hours a day and always get free balcony offers after 10-20 day cruises

Interesting how you can play penny slots - if that's your game - but need to bet considerably more for each round of Blackjack.

We’re slots only players

Too many amateur plays on board ships at the blackjack tables. The amount played on the slots depends on the machine    Things like QuickHits require a max bet of $3 to get bonuses ones like Dancing Drums do not

I agree on BJ.  You have to move up to higher min to get with better players.

Offers can be received at the end of the cruise or appear later under Onboard Credits in your account. . Generally an email is received about those but not always.

There is no stated formula for Come Back and Play offers received onboard. In my experience, 5000 points might get an offer for an inside cabin and maybe $250 in free play while something around 15000 points might yield a balcony cabin and $600 in freeplay. Those same points might get nothing though.

It’s unusual now to see offers that include the Plus or Premier Packages without getting a lot of points, maybe enough for a mini suite.

It doesn’t seem to matter how you play or whether you win or lose, just how many points you accrue. 3 USD = 1 point on slot machines. How it‘s calculated on table games  seems impossible to understand

JUST FOR REFERENCE...

On my last 7 day cruise... Discovery last month....I got 18,000 points & received an offer, left

in our cabin, on the last full day of the cruise.  I play penny slots .

Much more generous than I expected.

A mini suite PLUS the PLUS PACKAGE......PLUS $1,500 casino cash on my next trip.

I already rebooked & upgraded to a full Penthouse suite which cost me $900.

I constantly get email, before & after the last trip but they are always for balcony rooms.

If you are lucky enough to get an offer while onboard...use it because you will not get one as generous in an email !

Also for reference:

On our recent Crown Princess cruise in January, I earned a little over 20,000 points and got an offer for a Balcony and $600 casino cash.  No Plus package.  Maybe because our cruise was 16 days vs 7 days?  I wish I could figure out how they decide what they will offer.  We spend maybe 3- 5 hours in the casino daily playing mostly slots.  We used to always get balcony and free play offers with Plus Package via email but lately they have been reduced insides, lower free play and no Plus Package even though we haven't reduced our play.

To OP: I'm not sure if anything is different for Australia but we are also able to just go online and after logging in, we can check out cruises and it will show our casino discount.  Either $0 or a reduced amount if we want to upgrade.  I will say that I checked on cruises this week and a lot of the offers went away on cruises I was just checking out last month.  Also, check to see if you have given princess your email address and I believe there is somewhere in your profile that you can check to receive promotional offers.

My offer was an ER2

It says to call after 10 days but mine took 20 to get in the system.. I called the number on the offer..  888-772-6697

I was calling every day because we were interested in certain Alaska cruises & the suites were selling out !

My husbands offer is a PXL9 for $500. casino play but his is still not in the system.

So novice question here. On the slots do you earn1 point per play or is it determined in how much you bet and if so any info on how that works?  Thx.

1 pt for every 3 dollars you bet.

That is whether you win or lose...It is how much money is run through the machine..so..If you put in $20. & lose it in a few minutes, you basically have no points.

If you put $20. in & get play....win 10, lose 5, etc & play for an hour....you have a lot of points.

If you put $20, in & hit $500. right away & then leave. You have $$ but no points.

Ok..that’s what I’m worried about too! I want a specific Alaska, and it’ll get sold out

1 “point” per $2.50 wagered on slots

1 “point” per $5 wagered on video poker/video bj/keno

1 “point” per however much the pitboss thinks you should earn on table games, HAHA

I agree with all that has been posted. Check out “chill cruiser” who put out a video on Princess gambling. He pretty much echos all that has been said.  It does appear it is based on points earned and the table game question has a lot of mystery to it.

The table game question is and shall remain a mystery - it seems very subjective. My husband only plays Craps, and occasionally he will spend a bit of time at the three card poker table game or blackjack during the day when the Craps table isn't open if he can get a seat. He never plays slots.

He plays consistently the same on all of our cruises and yet his offers vary from cruise to cruise. What we have found on our cruises out of Southampton, he tends to be among a group of very few Craps players and his play is quite significant by comparison to other players. On those cruises the come back offers were for free balconies with $600 casino cash. On both of these trips he was also able to get noticed by the casino host and develop a good rapport. He tries to do this on all of our trips, but it is easier on cruises with less table players.

However, on cruises where there are a lot of high rolling Craps players, like our Mexican Riviera cruises on Discovery, the offers are generally less. His worst ever was on our recent New Year's Eve cruise where the Craps table was packed the whole time and he felt like he was having a hard time even getting his play monitored and he couldn't get any face time with the casino host. It didn't help that he got COVID the second to last day and missed that all important last night before the offers are developed.

So, just based on his experience since he pretty much spends the same amount of time at the tables and invests about the same amount of dollars every cruise, he has come to believe that the rewards and offers are very subjective and perhaps driven by a curve or comparison with other table players, as well as the discretion of the casino host.

We are back to Southampton this summer for a Norway cruise and he is hoping for a similar outcome in terms of better offer as our cruises these past two years.
