Reflection sky suite bathroom

Recommended Posts

I see that there is a combo tub/shower and worried about the height of tub.  We are seniors and this could be an issue.

SO --do I shower in the spa ?  First time on Celebrity, short cruise in November.

Hello @arl_nocaps and welcome back to the Cruise Critic message boards! I see it has been a while since you have posted.

Thank you for your new thread on the Cruise Blogs & Websites forum. However, it is off topic there since that forum is for our members to post links to their personal travelogue-type of cruise-related blogs or websites that contain no advertisements.

To help you out, I have moved your new thread to the Celebrity Cruises forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed in Celebrity Reflection Sky Suites frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You may find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you.

The Cruise Critic website and message boards are both great resources for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you are posting again! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list of the various forums. I suggest you put the link in your Favorites for quick & easy access in the future. Please read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there.

I also suggest you use the Follow feature on any new threads you start or any other threads or forums where you are interested in the new replies. That way you will not have to go looking to see if there are new posts because they will come l👀king for you as notifications! If you need information on how to do it, please click here: How to: Follow Topics & Forums (Subscribed Threads/Forums Info)

Hope this will be helpful and glad to have you back aboard Cruise Critic!

I would try to reach out to Celebrity to see if they can assign you a different cabin.

Explain to them your situation and ask them to make this change in the name of safety.

Hopefully they will help you.

I sincerely wish the best for you folks , hope you have a great cruise 🛳️

To get a walk in shower you would need to move to a assessible suite.

We have stayed in SS on Reflection and the side of the tub can be challenging both entering and exiting.

Showering in the spa could be a option.

Here is a photo of the bath on the Reflection Sky Suite. We have been on ships where it is a lot higher and as a senior with recent back surgery I was able to manage the tub quite well.

I found this tub/shower to also be a little more accommodating than some.  Let's be honest - at any given time usually half or more of sky suite guests are seniors.  Unless someone is particularly mobility challenged, they should be able to manage these.  It doesn't show in the pic but for the OP's benefit - there is a handle on the wall you can grab to help getting in and out or in rocky seas! (Not to say I don't wish they had a separate shower, because I certainly do!)

The tub is a bit deep in the Sky Suite. It may be easier to get in by sitting on the side of the tub and swinging your legs over one at a time or sit down and bring one leg over and then stand up.

I don't book sky suites because of these tubs.  Getting in and out is a problem and I've never seen grab bars, although I suppose they could have installed them recently.  As I said, it's been quite some time since I booked a sky suite.

We are seniors also- No problem getting into or out of shower, however different people have different problems.  I would suggest that you book a handicapped sky suite if you are concerned.  We had a celebrity suite on the Summit and the bathtub seemed really high.  Enjoy your cruise

I agree that you probably want to change your room to an accessible room. They are slightly larger than the other sky suites and have a larger bathroom that is more like a wet room.

My first suite was a guarantee and we were assigned an accessible room. My husband did not like it because he would have preferred the tub/shower combo. I could see that it would be nice for someone who needed it.

They all have grab bars. Not always in the most ideal spot IMHO
