So here we are in La Jolla, one day before we board our beloved Serenity. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting in real life some frequent cc posters ( looking at you @BWIVince , @CabinBoy2020 and @BEAV) I hope to post here frequently and encourage everyone sailing with us to chime in here.

OMG, it's like I already know some of you people, @BWIVince and @BEAV, at least.

 

If anybody would like to join us tonight at Coasterra, 6pm to 7:30ish, I think I can promise you a rare photo opportunity. (Look for Bapa!)

It's not likely that you can get a dinner reservation, but there is a nice bar there, and then also next door at C-Level or Island Prime. (And if anyone happens to be staying at the airport Sheraton, it's walk-able, but they will will give you a lift there in their golf cart.)

I’m so insanely jealous of y’all that get to board in San Diego!  Not only does that segment have nice ports, but that makes for a much more appropriate length vacation than some of us are getting.  😢 haha. I’m looking forward to reading all about it this week, but even more looking forward to meeting those of you who are staying on in Vancouver!

Another passenger told me that they were filming for a new CBS series about doctors on a luxury cruise ship.  I have not verified that.

When I walked through the Lounge 15 minutes ago, I saw a gentleman parked in front of the t.v.! I guess if he’s lucky, that’s his muster station.
