travelbugforever Posted July 20 #1 Share Posted July 20 (edited) I know Symphony of the Seas has an ice skating rink. Does any one know if they have ice shows? Edited July 20 by travelbugforever
not-enough-cruising Posted July 20 #2 Share Posted July 20 Yes All Oasis class ships have ice shows, as well as Freedom and Voyager classes.

Cruising89143 Posted July 21 #4 Share Posted July 21 They do and when we traveled on this ship several years ago the show was “1977” and it was by far out least favorite ice show that we have seen.
mets123 Posted July 21 #5 Share Posted July 21 They actually have two shows, 1977 and 25 minutes showcase show that I think was called 2.0

Interesting. We were on Symphony earlier this year and we loved the ice show "1977". Maybe they improved it from when you saw it?

We usually love the ice shows. 🙂
Rare RobInMN Posted July 21 #8 Share Posted July 21 I'm not into ice skating shows typically. I respect their talents, but it's just usually not my thing. That said, I have found 1977 entertaining. I thought the story line was descent (sure beats Effectors - What story) and liked how the projection/video mapping onto the ice surface enhanced the story. The drones were fun also.
klflote Posted July 22 #9 Share Posted July 22 I'm curious about this because although we can reserve theater shows and aqua shows on our Symphony trip next month, no ice shows are available. I recall being able to reserve these in the past. I wonder if something is going on with the rink on symphony?

karaloo Posted July 22 #13 Share Posted July 22 Just booked 1977 for our upcoming cruise but it was not initially available on the app; only on the website.
sportmorgan Posted July 30 #14 Share Posted July 30 We loved both ice shows last week! And FWIW Flight Dare to Dream is in my opinion the best show I’ve seen on a cruise ship!
Bellacruz54 Posted July 30 #15 Share Posted July 30 Have seen most all of the Ice shows on Oasis class, and 1977 was our favorite, as well as all the other shows on the ship! Flight Dare to Dream surprised us how much we loved it!

Maybe, but you might have better luck on the website.
