Ae we’re delayed because of traffic - both recreational boaters and a couple of barges.

I can't wait to hear how Blu is. Will we be seeing some food porn??? Yes - they call it a Magic Spritz since it is on the Magic Carpet. And your wish is my command!! Tonight’s menu. I had… The summer rolls (rice wrapper so gluten-free), the herb roasted chicken (rather than seasonal squash it was baby Brussels), and cherries jubilee (sorry I forgot to take a picture of that menu). And some Merlot. Got back to my stateroom and discovered that the ship sent me chocolate covered strawberries!! Oh - and my stateroom host Anthony said he will swap out the sparkling for a red. Yay! 11

Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 28 Author #89 Share Posted July 28 (edited) Good morning! I managed to stay up for the show in Eden last night. It was really cool. I did get up to do my run/walk that didn’t get done yesterday because of embarkation. Ended up on the treadmill because it was just foggy enough the decks are slippy and I did not want to risk falling on the track. (I have new running shoes that don’t really have any street wear yet, so they are extra slippy.) Breakfast at Blu after a shower (me trying to figure out the Aqua shower heads was amusing, especially pre-caffeine - the shower wasn’t that fancy on Summit). Now off to the Captain’s Club Theater Experience. Edited July 28 by WrittenOnYourHeart
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 28 Author #90 Share Posted July 28 @DingoMom Hey Dawn! I think - weather pending - I’m gonna watch “Barbie” at 3. I could meet up at like 1:30 or tonight at 8 or 9? Martini Bar? Beth

What was the show in Eden called? It looks like you had a fabulous seat. What time did you have to arrive in Eden to get a good seat? I don’t want to miss out on any worthwhile shows on my next cruise. Thanks!!🙏 Edited July 28 by Stem to Stern

Thanks!!🙏 it was “Wonder at Eden”. Overall it was a good seat - there were times one of the singers was at the corner of the stage and blocked the view. I was there an hour and a half or so before - but that was largely to stay awake. 🤣 I’d say 45 minutes would be ok. My “duh” moment was they do the song Geronimo but I spent most of the time wondering what “Hey churumbo” meant. 🤣🤣🤣 I finally saw lips moving and figured it out. No, it's not around the fancier eating spots or the action of South Beach, but between the Publix, CVS, and Walgreens in waking distance you can grab anything you forgot (or your wine or soda); and there are some eating places (yes fast food, but...) around too. I think this is my third or fourth time staying here. The only 😞 is I'm pretty sure there used to be a Starbucks across the street in the same building that the Publix is in (it's like a strip mall kind of place) where there's a bank now. Do you recall if the Cuban restaurant is still there in that strip mall? We have walked there from the Blue Lagoon Homewood Suites and enjoyed it a lot. We have never stayed at that Hampton Inn. How did you like it? Would you recommend?

I’m sorry! I like that Hampton Inn. They have always been friendly and I’ve never experienced the breakfast being crowded.
ecslady Posted July 28 #96 Share Posted July 28 Loving your review so far....especially mentioning the gluten free options. I'm gluten free too, so very interested in what you find and how the Beyond is handling it. Enjoy!
Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 28 Author #97 Share Posted July 28 Had a fun meet-up with @DingoMom at the Sunset Bar before she headed to Deal or No Deal (I hope it went well!!) and I chilled before “Barbie”. I’d seen it before (a lot) but I love it. I was a good girl and thought to sunscreen my arms, neck, and face. Forgot my legs. And I was in shorts. So… Thankfully they sell aloe. Off to Eden for dinner now!

Rare WrittenOnYourHeart Posted July 28 Author #99 Share Posted July 28 I. Am. Stuffed!! Eden was fabulous!! I was very brave in a couple of cases… The menu… The amuse bouche was a tuna tataki. Absolutely NOT usually my jam. But I tried it and didn’t die or barf. It was good!! I did cut it into small pieces just in case. 🤣🤣 Next up the Ruben Racelette minus the rye. YUM!! And my second Brave was the crab cake - which they can do gluten-free. It was very good!! My entree was the filet - and since I couldn’t have the Wellington they gave me 2 filets. YUM! But I would have been fine with one. During dinner I had a Merlot - Columbia Crest. It was good. Dessert I had an option of the Butterscotch Crème Brûlée or the Strawberry Delight which they can do gf! I opted for that! I suspect the Aztec chocolate was not an option due to the mole which often has peanuts - I’m allergic. The view was awesome!! Once the sun was at a certain point they lowered the shades. I got 3 types of chocolate and a raspberry macaroon which I had them wrap for me because I am stuffed! At this point I cannot even think of going to Blu to pre-order for tomorrow. 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe I can pre-order during breakfast. Plans for the evening are up in the air.

I have had it also served very finely chopped and mixed with finely chopped green onion. Tuna and Aji tataki are my favorites.
