Too bad they didn’t have Nanaimo Bars for dessert. These are amazing. It consists of three layers: a coconut crumb base, a custard filling, and a chocolate ganache topping.

Oops- I just remembered that I have Nanaimo bars in the freezer. They are left over from Christmas!

I could go for some now.  We are getting picked up at 7:30 for a dinner reservation at 8:45 in Brooklyn.

I’m hungry now but the wait will be worth it. Food porn to come.

Hello Andrew and Lisa

Please take good care of the Symphony for us! We will be boarding the day you disembark. 🤗

Hubby and I live an hour away from the port in central NJ, so no flights or hotels needed.

It’s just so darn easy cruising from Bayonne.

Have a wonderful time, and Happy Anniversary!

So jealous reading this. I’d love to be so close to a cruise port. Just to get to the airport at home is 1:45 minutes.

We will take good care to the ship for you Pat. I’m also happy to entertain you this week, to help the time pass.

You're never really old until next year. 😁

It's even worse when music like that is used in commercials for things like Metamucil or Depends.  I heard Back in Black on a commercial recently.  At least that was used for Jack Daniel's, which sort of makes sense.

The radio station I listened to as a teen (Andrew will surely know of the Q) used to have advertisements for beer and cigarettes, now it ***** (ED Dysfunction drugs) and hair loss products.

@A&L_Ont how was it?  Heard it’s very good but never been there.  How is the Marriott, minus 5e missing safe?

Marriott seems pretty good. Clean, AC is cold and rooms are modern. We’d stay here again.

Dinner was spectacular. The company that we kept made it that much better. Yorkvillain and Courtney, Cruise Life Rick and Ken Jarvis joined Lisa and myself.

Thick cut bacon. I can never have this at Chops again, it will never come close.

We got three steaks for two and there was barely anything left over.

One of the best steaks out there.

I will say something about the hotel that we discovered over night. When people leave for early flights, you can hear them if they are noisy going down the hallway.

We also stayed on a club level room, only to discover that on Saturday nights and Sunday morning the club level room is not open. We asked about the breakfast when we returned last night and the front desk shared that with us. Very bizarre that this is their policy, especially at an airport.

If there was a fridge I would have saved the steak bones and spinach from last nights meal for breakfast this morning. In second thought with no microwave that would not have worked either. At least if there had been a microwave we could have treated it as a safe.

So in short form - yes we would still stay here agin just not in a cloud room on a Saturday night.

When I see pictures of these folks, I realize how much I miss periscope. We had a great community and it was so nice to have everyone share their journey…. Without trying to be an “influencer” and cashing in …… Too bad.

Just thinking about our trip to Brooklyn last night.  What a commute when you’re used to driving at 60 mph at home with no traffic. Dinner, was absolutely amazing. I kept company with the first class of CC delinquents - Yorkvillian, Cruise Life Rick and Ken Jarvis. It was the stunning Lisa and Courtney that got us through the entry door of Lugers.

During the meal I decided to drop a little something on all of them. With threading Beastie Boy lyrics and references through this review, I thought what would be a better than celebrating 20 years of marriage than me dropping some lyrics at the end of the meal.  I’m fairly certain that some of you will remember my horrible steel drum skills from my last review.  What could ever go wrong with me doing a rap to celebrate 20 years of marriage at dinner.

I did one better to profess my love.  I decided to Pass the mic to a comedian and freestyler named Chris Turner. Who is Chris Turner you ask? Chris is a comedian with a resume longer than my list of past cruises.  He’s know for quotable gags and freestyle raps that have made him famous on YouTube with over 55 million views. He is based in the States and regularly performs at New York’s Comedy Cellar.  He also does Cameos, where you too can get a personalized rap for whatever the occasion. One day I hope to see him live.

In the meantime you all can enjoy “my” rap to Lisa.

If you want to know more about Chris here is a link to his web page. If you want a rap you’ll find a link there.  Who knows, maybe one day you might see him on a RC ship at the comedy club.

Here’s a link to one of his videos on YouTube, to where you can see more of his videos.  Be prepared to lose some time to power watching.  That’s how I found him.

He has a few bad words so if your ears are sensitive don’t click play.
