The entire Seaview Terrace, up front, above the bow of the ship, is an open, (should be adult only) area. Moving these venues around has no considerable effect on Space-per-Passenger. There are two MDRs... Deck 6 traditional and Deck 7 open seating - Reservations available. Deck 8 will now be Sanctuary... But, no loss, as the dining available on Deck 8 has now been moved to the separate areas Aft of the Eatery Buffett. Not sure I understand moving Crown Grill???? Do they think this will give them more space... What about the decor? yep. The MDR that was on 8. The walk in one with the fixed menu is still in existence. It moved to 9. So before the changes there were 3 MDRs on 6, 7, 8. After the changes there still aee the same 3 on 6,7, and 9. And what about the Suite Lounge? Is that now open to all? The Signature Sun Deck was combined with the Sanctuary to make the Sanctuary larger. The signature lounge is still suite only. memoak Posted September 14 #54 Share Posted September 14 It makes me leary to book the Sun. I would have no idea whatever changes will happen I am very happy with Grand and Royal class depending on itinerary 2
worldtraveller Posted September 14 #55 Share Posted September 14 Just wondering if with the removal of the suite only dining room if they will offer the suite breakfast in Sabitinis or Crown Grill like on other ships.
dog Posted September 14 #56 Share Posted September 14 So, the lovely, private, exclusive Sanctuary restaurant will be located by the wakeview pool- smoker’s haven, I heard.

They combined the Reserve & Signature restaurants and located them deck 8 aft by the designated smoking area by the wajeview pool , as of October 14/24. cruiserking Posted September 14 #58 Share Posted September 14 Princess clearly has no idea what they're doing and it's a great shame. We cruised the Sun a few weeks ago and our favorite part of the ship was the Reserve Dining Room. The service was superb, the meals delicious and the room appealing and comfortable. To now cram many more cabin grades into the former Americana space is ridiculous. There's a corridor from Wake View Terrace to the elevator landing with tons of foot traffic, not conducive to an elegant restaurant setting. They should have kept the casual Americana where it was on deck 8 and moved the Reserve to deck 9 where there is no foot traffic. Jonathan They could require traffic to/from the pool to go around the dining space via the outside walk ways. Easy enough for them to do.

Wishing on a star Posted September 14 #61 Share Posted September 14 True, but having to walk all the way around from the Aft Elevator/Stairwells is a very disjointed and inconvenient flow, perhaps of a lot of people. And, the obvious again, is that there would be no view to the outside with all of the windows completely covered. I am reserving any judgement until we actually see it. But, Princess has really be scrambling and flying by the seat of their pants here. It def. shows problems that go all the way to the top levels of Corporate.
FLAlaska Posted September 14 Author #62 Share Posted September 14 The current views from the Americana are not stunning ocean views as stated. They are more just views. But I will try to withhold a judgement and am still looking forward to my first try at the Sun but it is obvious that the ship was really not well thought out and princess was neither prepared or ready for it as proven by the changes, adjustments, etc.. Its like they threw together a product to sell before they could do what they really wanted to do with it or even knowing if their ideas were possible.
