Wow, this is a really fun thread to read....great ideas...... maybe we could have our own cruise critic voting on those names submitted here... Does anyone know how to set up a voting link - it would be fun. Maybe one for the serious names and another one for funny names (Parting of the seas - very funny)

There is an online contest going on (USAToday) to name the Genesis ship. That contest ends at the end of February (I believe)...so we are hoping to find out the name soon after. :)

I submitted Eden of the Seas and Reverence of the Seas. Husband did Serenity and something he can't remember. :rolleyes: I know I've seen Eden and Serenity both...but maybe we were first if one is chosen. :D Lots of good ideas out there. Good luck and have fun thinking of names!

Here is what I posted and why:

 

Elysium of the Seas because Elysium means any place or state of perfect happiness; or paradise

 

Arcadia of the Seas because Arcadia means any real or imaginary place offering peace and simplicity

 

 

 

 

when I cruise I am perfectly happy; in paradise and things are peaceful and simple :)
