Anyone else out there seem to think the interior design format is a little strange on the new ships. :confused:

Does anyone know which of the many dining venues on these ships will have a surcharge, and what it might be?

 

The specialty restaurants are Murano, Blu. Tuscan Grille and Silk Roads. I would think it fair to presume that anything a line is calling specialty restaurant is going to come with a charge these days, although the amount for each might vary.

Not really. It's a little more contemporary, which we're enjoying the sight of. We're already thinking about our second cruise on the class so I'm hoping the cruise is as impressive as these renderings.

I agree about the unusual interior design. The dining rooms are not at the aft end of the ship as is customary. So there are windows on only two walls rather than 3. Personally I don't see the logic. Seems to me that most cruisers like to be near a window.

My greatest interest would be in a 2009 TA. I wonder if that is considered a European itinerary and if it would be in the early booking window?

Hi Everyone - I Noticed In The Posting Of The Ships For 2009 For Europe , That There Was No Mention Of The Galaxy Anywhere . Since The Century Is Back In Europe - Perhaps The Galaxy Will Be In The Caribbean For Summer Of 09 .

Is this a typo: Equinox Northern Fjords 10 night cruise departing 29 July (2009)?? The Inaugural for Equinox is the Best of Europe 10 night cruise departing 8 August 2009 which is listed on Celebrity's website for the Equinox.

Maybe Galaxy are the ship RCCL are going to put in the new TUI in germany in spring 2009? its just a guess from me :)

Brandylane and Coco Creek, look at the thread on this board, "Live from the Galaxy". I think it's post #8 by JWJs that "I was sad to read that Galaxy was leaving the fleet." :eek: No other info or where this was printed or why Gal. is leaving.

We put off sailing Galaxy to the Med. because our friends had to postpone and now we were ready to book for next year and Solstice is taking over her sailings. We have booked Galaxy to the S. Carib for next Jan. We loved the ship when we sailed her to the PC in '05.

Too bad about Galaxy-still has a real T pool. Is there any word on where Mercury will be....still one of best of the fleet!

Anyone know what is the difference from a "Port of Call". I went to the link for the Equinox and when you look at the map the blue stars indicate "Interactive Port of Call".

I don't really know, but on the website map, if you place your mouse cursor over the blue stars, it shows some of the highlights to visit at these ports. I think maybe interactive just means you can interact with the map.
