And You Know You're Addicted To Sea Dream When?

Recommended Posts

You know you're addicted to SeaDream when you come home and talk about it so much that you talk your son and daughter-in-law out of a Jamaican land trip and onto SeaDream. They just booked Feb. 19th on II.

And get this. . .they even have our same stateroom! She (Kara) will probably get on CC at some point, so please give her your typical warm SD welcome. I'm excited for them.

BTW, the LaConcha in San Juan, where we stayed (and loved) is totally booked for Feb. 18. What are your suggestions for San Juan for pre-embarkation?

the old standby is Sheraton Old San Juan. Literally across the street from where SD docks. Nice for walking OSJ too. Not too pricey, not too nice, though we were upgraded to a harbor view suite once and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can not stay any closer to the docks. Unfortunately, it is also close to a jewelry store that is a particular favorite with Lois. They even serve me cerveza while she shops.:D

We also just changed from a Jamaica land based vacation to SeaDream after reading up on it. The all inclusive experience on SeaDream seems so much richer than any all inclusive in Jamaica. We are lucky enough to have a short wait, as we are cruising next week.

As for a San Juan hotel, we booked the Conrad. We got a pretty good deal on it, and it looks pretty nice. It isn't in downtown, just across the bridge, but 5 mins by bus ($0.75) or taxi (around $10 I think). It seemed that a lot of hotels were already booked though, as again we booked it last minute.

Beer is good! But you're REALLY addicted to SD, when you willingly sit there, drinking beer, thinking about getting on the ship, not about how much your wife is spending in the jewelry store!

I can tell you feel my pain. We really have to sail together some day. We can compare notes. Talk cars too.

Sadly, I'm not there yet. If I have enough beer so that I don't care about jewelry store spending, I'm comatose so can't be thinking of embarkation....

We definitely need to sail together ... and drink martinis! Zoltie, Clint and Jasper know exactly how we like them!

Heck, you are so well trained that you don't even have to be on the same continent and you approve jewelry purchases ... just saying:eek::cool:

That would be a brilliant and accurate statement except for the absolutely incorrect use of the word "approve".

You know you are addicted to SeaDream when, after some 30 Christmases, you help your spouse undecorate the house with the understanding that next Christmas you'll be on SeaDream!:p

Actually we will be on SD2 the week before Christmas and hopeful on STJ on Christmas!

Excellent!

You all are too kind! This has been in the back of my mind since meeting the Lepisto girls last March. They told me what a blast the Christmas cruise always is. After spending this past holiday without family and freezing cold...I thought, SD next year!! Then we'll have a BIG family to celebrate with!!:D
