You know you are addicted when DH offers to buy a fabulous diamond bracelet and your response is "But that's a whole week on Sea Dream!" :D

You just about break down into tears when you check the SD web site and realize that the Corinth Canal & Croatia on SD 1 in 2012 isn't going to happen since the B2B you were going to book while next on board is no longer available. The whole 2nd week went poof. Guess it was another charter. Great for SD. Back to planning for us.

Hi T.

Sorry about the BTB. There does seem to be some large gaps in the schedules. I guess you are addicted to SD when you perpetually stay in "planning mode". Still trying to make a fall/winter one fit our crazy schedule. Hope you and P have a great Summer.:D

You know you are addicted to SD when your DH tells you that Tiger Woods' yacht, Privacy, is for sale ... $25 million to buy with $2 million a year operating costs (which includes a full-time crew of 13) ... and your response ...

"How many trips on SD would that be?"

Hi DJ. You have been quiet lately. Good to hear from you. I agree with you (as usual). In my line of work in the yachting biz, I am frequently on board large yachts (working here) and, even if I had the $$$$, I prefer SeaDream. Owning a large yacht is definitely running a business and the inevitable personnel problems. Don't worry, let SeaDream do it for you.:D:D bEsides, for a mere $2mil per year, I bet SD would cut you a permanent deal on a suite.

Been busy working on our villa trip to St. John first week in June but I have been paying attention to info on my beloved SD!

I can't imagine all the headaches with owning a large yacht! When I am on SD I really do feel like I own the yacht:p

You are feeling really guilty . . .instead of excited, when starting to pack for an Alaska cruise not on SD :o

Hope you all have a great trip. I guess the only consolation is that if you want to visit Alaska by cruise ship these days SD isn't an option so the guilt should be slightly less as a result!

So I guess I can use the same reasoning when we visit the South Pacific on another non SD sailing . . . BTW, check the Regent Board out starting on Monday if you want to follow our adventures in Alaska ;) I'm thinking of titling the thread "Navigator in Alaska - From a SD Addict"

Absolutely the same reasoning applies. Will be watching the Regent board and following along regardless of how you title the thread. Thanks for the heads up and have a great trip.

Yes, yes, perfect title for your thread!! Bon Voyage, FT. Can't wait to follow it. I trust our SeaDreamers to give the real scoop.

Not to hijack and turn this into a Regent thread, but I'm particularly interested to know what excursions you've booked. Did you by chance schedule the *gulp* take-out-another-mortgage "helicopter and dog show on Mendenhall Glacier"?

Would love to talk personally if you're up for it before, during and/or after the cruise. cinciteresa at yahoo dot com.

Is it even hijacking if I started the thread? Oh well, I'll send you an e-mail with the details of our excursions but no, we have not booked the helicopter and dog show . . . Not quite ready to take out another mortage. Not when its the equivalent of two days on SD:D

Hi T. Have to agree. Wow, thats pricey. We usually love the heli tours but would not do 2 days on SD:eek::eek: for a heli tour. Wonder what it is without the dogs?

I should qualify -- Two days in the Caribbean on SD - not the Med. Retail price, not the discount for the ship would be two days in the Med on SD. Didn't mention a discount if you didn't drive the dogsled! Tour is 2.75 hrs. And if you weigh more than 250 lbs you pay another half fare.

250lbs? That would probably depend on how many days I had already been on board SeaDream..:D
