Those of you receiving these amazing deal emails from

Princess, is there a trick to getting these? I have never cruised Princess before and do get some email promos but none have applied to my sailing or been anything great at all. How do you get yourself included in these deals? :)

Have you signed up on the Princess website for all the email sales etc.?

(IE-last minute deals)

I also got one of the lucky deals... I was looking at a Mexico cruise to treat my mom to and went through the booking process to get an idea of the costs with port fees and the mini came out 250pp less than what was showing as the cabin price before I picked an actual cabin. I snapped up the deal and on my booking it said "promotional pricing"- I don't remember seeing any email about a deal but am very happy to get the lower price. ( Europe, Mexico and Caribean all had the lower fares for me- no lower prices for Alaska or Canada/ New England voyages).

My deal didn't include complementary gratuities as others mentioned seeing on their deals so maybe there are a different deals out there. Either way- what a nice surprise! Thank you Princess!

Same here............"Complimentary Grat." in the Comment section on the confirmation, a surprise after booking.

Ditto that. I did see it during a read through of the booking confirmation, but didn't get it until I went to the booking itself and looked under the credits section and saw the paid fees. I understand that these gratuity credits are only available to balcony and above categories.

Good question. I am at 13 cruises on Princess and don't get any really "good" deal emails.

But I have gotten some great deals by looking. Just sift thru the sailings you are interested in.

I was doing that a couple of weeks ago and got an inside guarantee on the Pacific Princess 17 day Panama full transit for $1899. The price was $2799, clicked thru all the different pages (doing a dummy booking) and the final page where you click "book it" the price mysteriously dropped to $1899. CLICK!!

A couple of months ago, someone on CC posted about a Royal 20 day Caribbean that had mini-suites for $1800 (usually twice that), couldn't grab that one...but I wanted to.

okay I was wrong! the late night price did not go away in the morning.. as stated by others above..You see the reduced price after picking your room and beginning the booking. since we usually go through our TA, I called Princess and they will do a hold till our TA gets back to them to turn it over. The princess rep said it was the Casino offer (25% off, saved $500 each for 14 day balcony Feb 2017 southern Caribbean cruise) winter sucks...$107/day for Feb...what a deal!!!

Congratulations! I have noticed that these deals are disappearing for some cruises but there's many discounted fares still out there.

I was just checking the pricing for our October trip on the Royal. We had already rebooked to take advantage of the 20% discount and got the free gratuities. I checked the Princess website today and it appears that the discounted pricing now appears in the summary view. In other words, I no longer have to pretend to book an actual cabin to see the additional "casino" discount, it is in the prices that appear when I log in and view the pricing for a cruise. They are certainly keeping us on our toes!

I am also seeing a lower price on the page where you actually book your cabin than the summary page. I emailed my TA and she said the price was not lower than our original booking and she cannot refare. I let her know about the possible casino discount even though I did not receive an email. I sent her the screen shots of both pages. Hopefully we can take advantage of this. I'm not sure if the TA discount would be on top of this fare or not. Fingers crossed!

I noticed that today too. I clicked on a cabin to see if the price would go down. Then I felt really foolish because the price was already really low - especially for a Feb 2016 Caribbean cruise.

For February on Regal I still had to select a cabin to see the deal but called the TA and have another cruise booked at a great price :) Good to have extra FCC's on hand.

Happy to report that my TA was able to get the lower price on our New Years cruise plus her TA discount. It pays to keep checking on prices.

We ran across this price change and on our Oct. cruise we moved from interior to a balcony for $10 dollars less pp and got gratuities added. It DOES pay to keep checking.

I still can't see that anywhere on the booking screens. So it seems like you'll only know about that after you've actually completed the booking and get the confirmation from Princess.

By the way, the fare displays have changed once again. The discounts now aren't deducted in the summary view (i.e., where you see the lowest fare for each category). The discounted fares now appear after I've clicked on a category when I'm viewing the "ship" under the aft, mid-ship, etc. locations. It's still a little easier to tell if the discount is available on an itinerary / cabin category, at least until they changes it again.

Okay, I've booked a cruise for Feb. 14. When I booked it, the mini-suite was showing $1400 or so, but when I clicked on the cabin it came up $1130. So I booked the suite, my husbands brothers are also going on the cruise, they have both sailed Princess before. The one brother has booked the room next to us, but his price is the $1400 or so, the other brother has booked an interior room for $840 or so, but when I look at the price it is $548.

I do not see anything under my profile why I am getting a deal or why it is showing me a different price. Can I either book the room, or do you think we can phone Princess and explain why they are not getting the offer. This is only my 4th cruise with Princess, one of the brothers it will be their 3rd at least and the other 2nd, so I am very puzzled.

For the room next to yours, check your booking to see if it has the "share the fare" (or similar words) which would allow another booking by someone else at the same rate you have.

No it doesn't have it. No where on my confirmation, or even when I do a fake booking does it mention about a special price, great for me, but I'd like to see if my BILs get the same deal

Yes I did, although I didn't think I had spent that much :) I called Princess and that is what is was, the casino promotions, so they couldn't apply it to my BIL's. Oh well, this just means I will watch the price and it drops later on, tell them to see if they can get their price dropped.

  • 3 weeks later...
Is the casino pricing gone from the website? I checked a Hawaii cruise this morning and it didn't come up with special pricing anymore....

Maybe that one is selling well or is too close. Our October cruise is no longer under the casino rate but the January one is still less (but has gone up some). Check some other cruises as mock bookings and make sure you are signed in.

I booked a 5 day on the Emerald with the 2nd passenger 1/2 price and got a significantly lower price. So I called and booked the cabin next to it for my sister at the same low price. The princess rep told me I was getting a "casino" rate. Awesome deals on Midship Caribe Balconies.

We booked our British Isles cruise on the Royal just after Mothers Day. We found that when you log in, the prices may change to reflect applicable promotions. For us that was a special price in Europe for Ontario residents. The real bonus for us is that an obstructed balcony (actually not obstructed since it is past the last lifeboat) was priced lower than an inside cabin plus we received $100 OBC each. It was a ridiculously low price that we couldn't resist. Add out FCC and shareholder benefit and we have $500 OBC.
