We did the same RM trip (many ears ago) but were on a budget (Red Leaf Service)............we should have done the Gold Service - BIG difference. We attended a rodeo in Kamloops with dinner - just a short walk from our hotel which made for a fun evening.

Will you be going to the Old Lahaina Luau???? It is fantastic - get there early to see the opening of the pit and uncovering the pigs.

We have SV's booked for several upcoming cruises on the Beyond (and Reflection) - so we are very interested in your comments. The Suites were just too much for our retirement budget.

Our first Summit cruises will be B2B's starting on 9/10 & 21 doing the Canada & New England itineraries. So looking forward to some cooler weather, great seafood and possibly some Fall foliage.

It is a gypsy tactic............divide / cause distractions / steal. Many times children are used..........so be aware!!

You can book either line while onboard and get the lower deposit and OBC's. As always you can your pricing revised on future sales if before final payment.

I think that criticism is universal - standards have been lowered across the food service and hospitality industries (on land, sea and air)...........unfortunately. We are enjoying the more relaxed atmosphere refreshing newer ships that fit our new slower pace lifestyle.

We are booking more Celebrity cruises as our lifestyle has changed. Royal's targeted on a much younger and active demographic as their newer ships become larger and have almost an amusement park atmosphere. If Icon is the future - then it isn't in our future. The more "senior" and intimate ships are aging and will slowly go away, which is sad. The cost of a Celebrity cruise is higher but the "includes all" fare does have wi-fi, tips and a beverage package. The food has been very good and on the newer ships (E-class) has multiple main dining rooms with a different menu and atmosphere (French, Italian, Mediterranean and American cuisines) that can be changed every evening. It is a slower pace experience like cruising was when we started - more relaxing. I have just become an octogenarian and enjoy the longer itineraries (9 - 13 days) and great service.

I was just checking the C&A Benefits on the RCCL website and the "free" Wash & Fold" for Pinnacle was not listed nor a discounted W&F for other levels. When did this happen????? TIA

I am on Jewel now and was told that the new menu starts on Saturday. We are on the B2B and will have our first encounter with the revised menu on Saturday evening.
