  1. We have done 5 great cruises since September 2021. The one benefit that has not changed is the service we have received from the staff we have come in direct contact with including stewards, dining room, and bar staff. That has been amazing. That people continue to whine about losing their piddling little benefits is beyond me considering the challenges the cruise lines have dealt with to provide a great cruis experience.

  4. I didn't say I booked through my CVP. I booked the cruise before I had a CVP. I asked her, because she has proved to be a knowledgeable resource. I also asked on Live Chat and was told to contact customerrelations@princesscruises.com. I have tried that twice with no response. Also Travel Assistance Customer Solutions Dept (800) 545-0008, Option #1 with its long hold times. BTW, I do have a claim with AON for the part of travel after isolation. Last week it went from Assigned to In Progress. Do you have a suggestion?
  5. Last August my wife tested positive on the last night of our cruise on the Enchanted Princess. The next morning we were transported to a hotel near Heathrow Airport to spend 5 days in isolation at Princess expense. Instructions said we would have a meal allowance of $100 per person/day and to submit a refund request (no receipts required) directly to Princess at Princess.com/refund-request, which we did. I got a confirmation number, but haven't heard anything since. I asked my CVP who I could contact and she said "As far as Covid refund requests, the new requirement is that everything needs to go through PVP first. If you have not had a response from your refund requests submitted in August you might have to re-submit through aontravelclaim.com." To me, this means I have to submit to insurance who will deny and the submit another refund request to Princess. Who knows how long this will take. Anyone else experience something similar?
  6. We have the drink package. We usually have a glass of wine and an appetizer in the Vista Lounge if open at 4:30 before going down for dinner. Doubt we would do that if we had to go all the way up to Skywalkers.

  9. We generally don't book earlier than what EzAir would let us book.
  10. We are a party of two. We only book Deluxe Balconies on the Royal class and Mini Suites on the Grand class since they took the extra chair out of the Balcony cabins. The options in current balcony cabins is one person sits on the desk chair and one sits on the bed. Obviously, Princess is making more money off us and like minded people by taking that chair out of the Balcony cabins. OTOH, we are also booking more cruises on other cruise lines like NCL, Celebrity, Holland America who have couches in all their Balcony cabins.
  11. Just completed a coastal cruise on the Crown. Disappointed to find the Salty Dog Gastro Pub had been closed since May. Seems Princess could have taken it off the list of specialty restaurants available. There was even a section in the survey. I put NA for each of the questions.

  14. Pretty easy to go from one device to another with the one device plan. You will get a message that you are connected to another device, do you want to connect to this one?

  16. Salty Dog Gastro Pub is closed. Also, MDR was closed for lunch on Embarkation Day. This morning, we were on Deck 7 in the forward part of the ship and decided to walk to Horizon Court for lunch by first going to Deck 10. Didn't realize there was a sewage problem, but were almost overcome by the smell.
  17. We have been on cruises on Majestic, Enchanted (3) since September 2021 and are currently on Crown. We are fine with the one sheet printed Patter. All we need to know what is going on as opposed to JourneyView on the app.

  20. I don't see replacing free 250 minutes with unlimited at $5.00/day as a cutback. To me the cutback is not living up to the promise that internet on a cruise would be like working at home.
  21. We are currently in E731 on the Crown Princess (sister ship to Emerald) There is no connecting door to E729). We prefer this cabin to other mini suites, because the balcony is completely covered and extended with an aft view. Dolphin mini suite balconies are not covered and people in the cabins above can look down on them. Once, we sailed in E721 on the Ruby and smoking was an issue, because the balcony is directly above the smoking area. We haven’t experienced a smoking issue yet in E731and think it would be highly unlikely.
  22. We are on the Crown Princess now in an Aft Emerald Deck Minisuite in seas rough enough to make us miss our port visit to Astoria, Oregon. I don’t notice anything unusual from what one would expect for this weather. Vibrations from leaving port also seemed similar from what we have experienced.

  24. Currently on the Crown Princess. Salty Dog Gastro Pub has been discontinued. Hopefully it will still be available on Discovery Princess in February.
