  1. I know its a commercial decision but when we saw Quest was going to South America we had an idea to see if we could do the Christmas and New Year at Rio again as the last time it was just soaking weather. We were so so disappointed to see that whilst we could have Christmas, we could not have that b2b. I am sure there were others looking for that b2b
  2. Lovely to hear your onboard safely. We found the shorex lady’s knowledge woefully inadequate, with us the excuse was this is our first time doing the itinerary but it sounds like she hasn’t bothered to learn. Yes most of our guests didn’t listen to instructions - getting through US immigration which was very well set up by the ship and the border staff were so pleasant was a nightmare because half didn’t think it applied to them or wanted to go at a different time! But no one could go off touring until everyone cleared (so selfish) Do keep the updates coming they will stir up lovely memories
  3. Some but not all the excursions for November Caribbean are available
  4. It’s too late then I would still like to hear what the current chefs tables are. It maybe due allergies none will work. We’ve discussed these menus potential adaptations with Viking before so we know what can be adapted/ some can some can’t. We should have up to 5 menus on this cruise. Really hope they’re not all our problem ones!
  5. Thanks however I would still like to know the menu rotation
  6. @CCWineLover Thanks for all this wonderful information I’m wondering would you be able to tell us which chef’s tables are being used (do not need the menus) and which one was on the night of Halifax. Someone has a birthday that day on our cruise and I’m trying to decide chef’s table vs Manfredi and I can book next week (appreciate it might change!) Thanks a lot
  7. Same applies to St Kilda, Bass Rock and other seabird nesting sights in Scotland last year was devastating it will take ten years to recover they reckon. They will be restricted access only for humans to help the recovery- disappointed for anyone for whom seeing birds on their habitat is they key reason to travel I hope they recognise the great contribution they will take to the species long term by not going. In Reykjavik there’s a fantastic virtual reality museum which includes a puffin experience I’m going to head for that

    New website.

The link on my email is now working 😀. Just need them to restore the information that was there for Japan pre website change and I’ll be motoring!
  9. Doesn’t work for me sadly and doesn’t cover 2024 which is what I need

I am in the same situation as you and I needed Jan- March 2024 anyway

    New website.

Funny I do not run it as a favourite, also I am using Chrome now on the mac and it makes no difference. An interesting conundrum but minor inconvenience in the scheme of things for now

    New website.

Although I think things are correct, once I drill down to bookings and try and look at items such as Excursions, the mac doesn't give an offer to even scroll down on the page. This is also an issue on Explora though and it applied on my Mac, 3 tablets and two iPhones so its something about configuration I guess. As there's no urgency for Azamara I will see if I get a fix via Explora first
  13. And in every elevator in Universities in China. It’s how they check if the caretaker has cleaned the floor 😂😂
  14. Yes I lost the benefits of the old booking but got the benefits of the new one
  15. In the UK you are the customer of the travel agent. The travel agent is the customer (not the agent) of the cruise line. So the customer pays the travel agent, your card debit is to the agent. At a future agreed time could be right up to the night before the cruise the agency pays the cruise line. The customer is financially protected by their card company and by ABTA bonding. There’s absolutely nothing suspicious about the agency the issue is the new system isn’t recognising the late pay arrangement
  16. We lost our OBC on all cruises cancelled via the pandemic, when I used the FCC I was given the benefits applicable at booking for the new cruises (which were far less)
  17. All UK Travel Agents have access to a Business Support team based in the UK. Call the travel agent and ask them to immediately escalate the issue to the Business Support team who will be able to give them the answer you need. The problem may well be that the agency hasn't actually passed the money over to Azamara yet, this is part of the agency arrangements UK agents have with cruise lines. The previous IT system could cope with that, it seems the new one cannot. I do think though that the agent your parents spoke to at Azamara hadn't done the UK training module and could probably given your parents a more helpful and supportive response including booking their excursions
  18. Us neither. The runner who brings the breakfast isn’t the only one who made it happen. It’s wrong to single them out 100% with @marinaro44 tipping individuals is in almost all situations onboard Azamara unfair- there are so many others behind the scenes who help with glass washing, laundry, cooking, clearing up. Crew welfare fund for monetary recognition which can then be enjoyed by all Mention by name on attention to detail cards and end of cruise surveys (if you get one) of individuals which will lead to longer term rewards and shorter term recognition by managers (eg extra time off, a free crew excursion etc)
  19. Sometimes I’m sensing on some ships style over substance - with for me too much focus now on buffets that look good rather than consistent quality throughout the cruise and staff driving you to buffets “you must go / why are you not going to Indian night/seafood night/brunch etc. it’s like they don’t want you to eat elsewhere. I agree the MDR is generally good not outstanding but unfortunately our last experience on Onward it didn’t even hit good most nights. We weren’t alone in that view. Hopefully they’ve sorted out the competence issue in the galley now.
  20. The thing to remember no one’s booking has reported as being completely lost. It may not be visible to you but it is still there in the system. This is a situation you just have to trust - though some posters will chastise you for doing that. You’ve got a little while before final payment and I’m sure Azamara expects to have everything fixed by then.
  21. Starlink is affected by the location the ship is in and nearer a Pole is notoriously tricky
  22. Absolutely none and they won’t hold them you will keep them and can drink them if you wish
  23. Interesting Dublin is getting a reputation for nightmare disembarking it was the same last year
