  1. That may have been me you referenced. We did this on Meraviglia in October for about that price, and I did relate our experience on another post. We have interior booked as well for upcoming cruises. I suppose DW will decide. Happy wife, happy life.
  2. Then we'd have to get into a discussion on flannels versus washcloths, or, more correctly "face flannels."
  3. Aah, that makes sense! In Europe, I suspect that many Diamond/Black members actually earned their status, and that allegiance should be recognized and rewarded.
  4. That's odd. No special entrance other than taking the steps up from near Gate A5. I only use the club 2-3 times a year when using DeltaOne or Upper Class on VS. Posted hours are 5 - 8:30 am, and 2 pm to 1 am, with the time in between held for Priority Pass.
  5. The Clubhouse doesn't really close for everyone at 1:30 p.m. For Priority Pass, the access ends at 1:30. It is open until 1:00 a.m. (although it goes into clean-up mode around 10:30, since the last Virgin flight is at 11:00 p.m.
  6. I see now what you were getting at. It's not that way here in the US sailings.
  7. Not for main theater shows. On some ships (Meraviglia class), they have a theater in the aft that that charges for shows. On Seashore class ships, there is a Cabaret theater in the aft that has shows for free (at least so far!).
  8. Are you thinking of the pre-COVID Cirque? In Carousel shows I've been on, there is no dinner show option like with Cirque, just the show and a drink option.
  9. 😨 This is shocking! I've not hear anything about inconsistency on MSC cruises in at least the last two minutes! The next thing you know, someone is going to say they think service is inconsistent between different butlers.
  10. Actually, the best thing to do for a bit of privacy is ask for a four-top. Many are along the wall, and they'll just clear two settings.
  11. Contact the concierge when you board and ask him/her to make the reservations you want. I really think you will like the YC menus, though. Yes, you can book for more than two in the specialty restaurants. Not sure how many more at each venue, but at least they have four and six top tables.
  12. Bigfoot is real!😃
  13. Don't tell @morpheusofthesea
  14. Maybe go to "Find Your Roll Call" and post this there! You can pick MSC and Poesia.
  15. I've never seen them check too closely. As long as you show your card, your companion should be okay. Again, keep in mind when the say Diamond "party", it is a free drink or two and some snacks, but it is mostly welcome from the captain and then a discussion of new ships and cruises. That means the dominant people are the CD and the Future Cruises host. It's not a hard sell like a "Time Share Presentation" party, but it is a sales-oriented session. Just my opinion.
  16. In your scenario, the only thing you can do if you want to apply the OBC is to do nothing and purchase the drink package on board. That goes on your bill, and the OBC will be taken towards that. Keep in mind that the base price of the package is likely to be higher, though, and you will incur a 15% service charge. Were I in your situation, I would pre-purchase the package, and then apply the OBC to incidentals and the Hotel Service fees.
  17. It was a few years (and probably way different packages!) ago, but @Stockjock is right. Since everyone in the same cabin needs to have a package (ideally the same), we did our reservations so that the two over 21's were listed in the same cabin, and the others in the second cabin. It may be cheaper. That being said, you are showing about $200/cabin for seven nights, and that's a pretty good rate.
  18. You really can't book a particular restaurant until you are on board. Just need to stop by one of the restaurants where staff are out front, and they can do reservations at almost any of the restaurants for you once you are on board.
  19. Interesting. I've always had it with sherry and/or white wine mixed into the broth, so it has alcohol, but not liquor. I wonder if that is a translation issue on MSC's part.
  20. Honestly, I don't use a TA to initiate bookings, unless we are doing a resort stay, where AA Travel or Delta Travel may have a good package deal. I trust myself to find the best deal I want for air and travel (use points/miles, play with mixed itineraries, etc. For MSC, I've found that I can get what I want. I then purchase it and just hand it off the to the TA to take it over. They can run any post booking issues, and then can easily give me a share of their commission in OBC (at least it's usually hassle free for my agent, especially now post-COVID). Hope you are enjoying retirement!
  21. You are not seriously listening to and believing what a land-based MSC adviser is telling you, are you??!!
  22. While Jules815 is correct about you being able to call MSC, let the TA do the lifting. Give them your reservation number, let them contact MSC, and the TA can send you the transfer form for you to sign.
