  1. Yes, but what happens when Olife is no more, or for the people that are already picking Simply More?
  2. Lyn, it's been my experience lately that if you're below Platinum they will not do a Pin Presentation at the party. Only a mention of how many turned such and such and that the pins should have been in the room for them. It didn't use to be that way, but more and more people are hitting the levels so it was taking up too much time at the party. They do still mention the top 2 or 3 cruisers.
  3. I was on a California Coastal cruise that I met a man that was also told by his TA that they would have the use of a wheelchair for one in their party. When it didn't happen he went to a rental place, oddly enough on Catalina Island, and was able to buy an old chair to use for the cruise. Just an FYI, there are companies that you can rent scooters and probably a wheelchair from at almost every port of embarkation, but you have to set it up in advance.
  4. I was just getting ready to ask which board am I on?, Glad it's not only me.
  5. Here's my take, going from an inside to a balcony, any balcony is worth $600. But, to help answer your question, it would help to know which ship you are on. Keep in mind everyone has access to the Spa, it's the Terrace area with the T Pools and loungers that you get access to. The Saunas and steam rooms and showers are available to all levels. The Concierge Lounge is only on the O Ships and Vista. Laundry is really not much of a perk for a 7 day cruise.
  6. I don't know, but we got a chocolate bunny for Easter. I bit it's ears off.
  7. I doubt it's that, they always remember us also, they're pretty good about that.
  8. They use that milk that lasts a long time. It tastes horrible. That's one of the reasons I don't care for the milkshakes at Waves that others seem to rave about. It's called UHT or something like that. It doesn't have to be refrigerated until opened and last for about 9 months.
  9. Did you ask for the reason on this? What would it matter?
  10. That is if Marina follows the same game plan. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
  11. Horizons is the main place for kissing the Captain's ring on the second night. It would probably be the worst place on the ship at that time to try to have a get together. I do think the area above Waves Bar would work pretty well as long as the weather is ok.
  12. 10 bucks says it was a Millennial.
  13. They are generally closed to the general public, but those on B2B and apparently some upper suites can dine there.
  14. Sorry to hear about this. Make sure that he has seen a Dr, unless you have cancel for any reason insurance.
  15. For the most part no one cares what women wear, except for them and other women. Women can get away with anything pretty much on both ends of the spectrum. Her shoes will be fine.
  16. Sometimes, or people just get things wrong, or don't know what cruise line forum they're posting on. Or read something somewhere that was wrong, then repeated it.
  17. So easy to see how misinformation can be propagated.
  18. Had an almost identical situation occur at Monte Carlo. We were tendered and the ship moved to Villefrance. We also were on the last tender before the ship moved, and it was the roughest tender ride I have ever been on.
  19. I've even seen an early show here and there. Well, I didn't see the show, but I did see one announced in Currents.
  20. Actually, there is a chart that shows the breakdown, I'll see if I can post it. Obviously it's by days cruised. SO, if you take one cruise that's over 25 days, it's 2 credits. Nothing to do with the number of bookings. For example, a person can book an Around the World Cruise and in ONE booking get 15 credits and automatically be at the Gold level when they step on board, even if they've never been on Oceania before. Also not looking to argue, just trying to explain to you how the Oceania program works. I've been doing this for a while now, so I'm pretty familiar with the drill. As to your other post, yes, awarding points by cabin level and amount of money spent is very much class division mass market stuff. 1 CREDIT up to 24 days 2 CREDITS 25-34 days 3 CREDITS 35-44 days 4 CREDITS 45-54 days 5 CREDITS 55-64 days 7 CREDITS 65-99 days 10 CREDITS 100-157 days 15 CREDITS 158+ day
  21. Which is exactly what they do. It's just their numbers don't always make people happy.
