  1. Last cruise was in Oct on Navigator in GS and no internet included as suite perk. I have only gotten internet with sky class or above on Oasis/Quantum class ships.
  2. This is what I want to do on future sailings with MSC YC, book YC insides. On another note we are not balcony people even sailing with our primary line Royal. We have done 42 nights in YC1 and we rarely use the balcony, well except for drying swim trunks. I would rather spend time in the top sail lounge or on the YC pool deck. I get service up there and it is not that crowded most of the time. Plus the many butlers walking around asking if you need a drink, refill or if we need anything makes it fine for us. The one drawback is the shower in a YC inside is not as nice as a YC1. The YC1 shower is second only to the master bath crown loft showers on oasis and allure. That has been the compelling reason we have done the YC1 on all our MSC cruises.
  3. Have done the drive from PBI to Miami port. Had many cancelled flights this past June so United agent said the only way to make cruise in Miami is to fly down the PBI. We were supposed to arrive in MIA the morning before the cruise but with all the cancellations we made it to PBI at 930am. Booked a rental car online while waiting to board at EWR. Got to Miami after a stop at Walmart for clothes and essentials and onboard the ship by 1pm. Just in time for a drink and lunch. Did not get our lugguage till we docked the following week of a B2B. Would not do this again unless airfare difference (PBI vs MIA) was a good deal less than rental car and gas. To many things to go wrong in my book.
  4. On Navigator B2B in Sept it was Haffner and he was always engaging. Then in Oct was expecting Haffner but he moved to Ovation for the pacific crossing. We had another concierge who was just as engaging. It depends on the concierge, some are outgoing and others are well lets say should not be a concierge.
  5. On Seashore in June/July it was pretty strict. Though the food was better in YC than the specialty restaurants. We went each week and the steak in YC was as good or better than the steakhouse. Wife went to the seafood place and did not even finish her meal. She got out of there and met me to have dinner in YC restaurant.
  6. You can go back to SL and get a drink if it is during happy hour, usually 5-8pm.
  7. On Navigator just a few weeks ago and the ice show Reach for the Stars is not to be missed. Best Ice show in the fleet IMHO. So good, the ice show was the only show we saw repeatedly on our 5 cruises on Navigator this year.
  8. OK thanks. Never carried the cards on ship. Tried with wristbands and they did not work so thought priority service was not activated. The wristbands worked on Seaside and wanted to see if it worked on Seashore. Figured if wristbands did not work the cards would not work since it is just a RFID in the cards and wristbands. Will try it on Seashore if we get to board her again.
  9. Did you use your band and scan underneath the screen for the floor selection for priority?
  10. Just wondering where is the priority YC elevator? On for Seashore for 2 weeks in June/July and YC trick with wristbands did not work.
  11. We were on Navigator a couple weeks ago also. We got this a few times "you want to use your D drink for a milkshake?". On our few cruises this past month on Nav, it was more the exception when the bartender mentioned how many drinks I had left. Noticed the 7 night cruise was a lot busier than the shorter 5 night cruises. But could have been because of school fall break in Oct? I kept track of our drinks via app. Quiet a few days we only used one or two vouchers.
  12. We actually like the switch to the MG products. Did not like the scents of the Loccitane products.
  13. So since 2012 you have not been asked for D pin to get into an event or function? Like I said, I have never been asked for a D/D+ pin to get into any event or function as we started cruising in 2014. Now, I have been asked for my suite card to get into the suite areas..does that count? So now you are disputing my experience? I see you did not learn what your mother taught you.
  14. Did I dispute your sentence about needing to wear a pin to an event? You seem to be a little defensive and reading more than what I posted. I did not say your are a liar and it has never happened. Just asking a simple question. I said how lucky you got your block during a presentation. All 7 blocks of mine were just left in the cabin. So you are now saying I did not get mine left in the cabin and calling me a liar? Sorry I have no need to ask them to present me the block for cruising 140 points. I do not need recognition like that as I am pretty low key.
  15. You are lucky to get it given to you. 7 blocks and have never had one handed to us. It was always left in our stateroom one evening. Well we are still waiting for our last 2 blocks as the ship did not have them. I have never been to an event that we had to wear our D+ pins. What function requires a D+ member to wear their pin? Even the lunch with an officer (now toast with an officer) we have not been asked to wear pin.
  16. My son ordered the poke bowl quiet a few times. He said it was to clean and did not taste like a local poke bowl. What he did was ask for a few extra ingredients like mayo, schiracha paste, sesame seed oil, etc and added these to his poke bowl to make a local tasting poke bowl. Waiter was surprised but for the next few dinners or lunch, those ingredients were ready for son.
  17. Just off the Navigator a couple weeks ago. Son is 16 and has 400+ points himself. Definitely no free photo for him. Also tried on every sailing since we all turned D many years ago and his seapass would never get a free photo. Son getting the two free internet sessions just started our first cruise post covid this past Feb. Until then, it was always a discount. The joys of Royal Consistently Inconsistent
  18. Just a couple weeks ago on Navigator, it was M-G products on the wall in the big pump bottles. Has been the same since our first trip on Navigator this past Feb. We had lotion in the small M-G bottles.
  19. We got one bottle for diamond and one for YC each week. B2B we were able to give Jr butler and butler 2 bottles each. You should have gotten one bottle for sailing in YC each week.
  20. Enjoy your cruise on the Seashore. We had a great time and the YC pool deck is larger than on Seaside. Plus the pool is no longer 6 feet deep everywhere. Nice to be able to stand and still go to the deep end if wanted to. Sad to not be able to get coffees from Venchi. Check out the other bars if looking for a certain brand of liquor. I wanted Silver patron and the only bar that had it for 14 nights was the bar by the infinity pool. Must be a lot of new faces as YC director Robert is gone and so are the concierges that were out front. Make sure to see the shows in the Le Cabaret Rouge. The shows were much better IMHO than in the main theatre. But this would depend on the performers and I would think there would be new performers in both venues. If the dueling piano guy and gal is back make sure to stop by and listen. They have play different genres each night. Enjoy and hope to cruise with you and Jose again. We will be on Divina on June 9 and World Europe June 18 2023 if you have no plans. The rest of our cruises in 2023 will be RCCL Navigator out of San Pedro. Only have to take one 5 hour flight for a cruise instead of flying for 12 hours.
  21. On Seashore in June/July and did not see Don Julio tequila as an option for bottle of liquor. Since we dont drink champagne much, we gave them to the butler and Jr butler. They were happy to each get a couple of bottles (1 bottle for YC and 1 bottle for being diamond) when we got off the B2B.
  22. How are you and Joann doing? We will be on MSC next for Italy summer on Divina June 9 2023 and the World Europa June 18 2023 if you have no plans yet. First visit to Europe and have to still figure out way from Civitavecchia to Genoa to board World Europa. If not, have fun cruising and see you two on board at a later date. Love the Seashore as the YC pool deck has made some great improvements with pool and hot tubs. Counting our months till my son graduates and wife and I can cruise more often.
  23. Best part of a B2B on MSC out of Miami? Do not need to do the second muster drill!
  24. B2B Seashore this past June/July. There was only one party on the night of the late departure from San Juan. It was a white parry coinciding with white night. I believe this was because of covid protocol. There was no Captains reception or meeting officers in YC either cruise. But there was a Diamond member toast with officers both cruises. But a little different as the officers did not stay and talk with you like previous events. Maybe recently it has changed for both Diamond party and YC parties?
  25. Now hopeful that RCL will become profitable and pay off those loans in the next 5 years. Then they will start paying dividends to stock holders. If RCL can get back to pre covid dividend payouts, I figure I get a couple free 7 day cruises every quarter.
