  2. You could email them and ask. secretariat@cuenet.nc https://cuenet.nc/contact/
  3. SQF, is about a half hour from the city. I imagined there would be a spot near Leith where RY Brittania is but that area seems to have gone all residential and commercial.
  4. As mentioned above, no reservations required. I always make a point of getting to the venue about 15-20 minutes before a show starts to ensure a good seat, order a drink, do a Sudoku - whatever. Timing of this can be affected by MDR times. I have missed more than one show due to interesting discussions over the dinner table.
  5. It should be in here. https://www.nab.com.au/content/dam/nab/documents/policy/insurance/nab-card-insurance-policy-information-booklet-November-2023.pdf I just browsed. Pages 14/15 (definitions) I believe
  6. So far, I don't have any reportable, pre-existing, conditions.
  7. I like Guinness but only draught not the, very different, canned stuff with the "widget". However I would give it a go on a cruise if I knew they have it - I've never seen it on a drinks menu. At the least it would be better than any of the American stuff or Dutch Grolsch.
  8. eVisa 651 (which is free) you can; visit family or friends cruise or have a holiday undertake business visitor activities study or train for up to 3 months, in some circumstances"
  9. My annual insurance is my $150 annual NAB Velocity CC fee.
  10. I always book using my NAB Velocity card (everything I pay for goes on the CC which adds to my Velocity points). I've never had to claim except once when I took out additonal, high risk, travel insurance because I was doing, or should I say intended to do, a motorcycle tour of NZ and had an accident on the first day.πŸ™ You are correct, only have to pay minimum of $500. I also pay an annual card fee of $150. The only reason I got the NAB card, about 25 years ago was because it was the only CC at the time which awarded Flybuys on purchases. I did not have any accounts with the NAB and have managed to get the limit up to $15,000 so that I could pay for travel in full if need be. I also pay it off in full each month.
  11. There's a bunch of us in the Newcastle/Hunter/Port Stephens region. Lunch or dinner at Belmont Yacht Club? https://lmyc.com.au/
  12. More likely you need a 651. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/evisitor-651
  13. Cruised on Westerdam out of Sydney last January. Had to pay USD20 x 2 before boarding. My two bottles of wine each had a sticker attached to indicate corkage had been paid. Was a little ticked off later to see that 18% gratuity had been charged on the $40. A trip to CS desk fixed that.
  14. Today I received an email from my CC provider (NAB Rewards Platinum (Velocity)) advising policy changes. I browsed through the info and the only thing that caught my eye was cover is up to age 81, presumably without pre existing conditions. So, I'm good for another six years, all things going well.😁
  15. Not strictly correct. It depends on which cruise line you sail with. It has not been mentioned by OP.
  16. I would much rather eat prawns than lobster. On the last day of a HAL cruise from New Zealand to Oz, the Lido put on a fresh NZ seafood lunch. Pretty much had a feast of king prawns on fresh bread and butter. It was the last cruise on Maasdam before Covid shutdown so I don't know if they still do it.
  17. Aren't there rules discouraging this. https://boards.cruisecritic.com.au/topic/2209111-drying-clothes-on-balconies/
  18. I've always found them too breezy at sea and would only opt for one if I were heading for the tropics. A window view is fine for me but have only done one inside cabin cruise - that was enough.
  19. Qantas has again agreed to refund our airfare (cancelled Alaska cruise 2020). I say again because we have been trying to get it refunded for the last three years and Qantas kept saying they would but never did. Here's hoping.
  20. I used HAL afternoon tea a a "filler event", something to do when I didn't have something else to do. I found it fairly ordinary but ok. I prefer green tea and the servers bring it when I ask for it. Sorry about comparing, but, on my first Celebrity cruise they had a High Tea which had to booked with a small cost. It was also accomanied by a string quartet - less one. On another cruise afternoon tea was a selection of teas with scones and jam. Here we call it a Devonshire tea or otherwise known as a cream tea.
  21. Unfortunately dining experience can vary from ship to ship even of the same line. Noordam, in Alaska atm, is getting some good dining reviews. My last four cruises, four different ships, have been on HAL and dining was been great on all of them or maybe I'm too easy to please (I am a picky eater - no little green and white trees for me😟).
  22. Me either. I'd never be able to decide which color cape I should wear.😟
  23. Mine are good 'till January. I've had them over a year and used one last June whilst in Alaska when I had the sniffles. Negative.
