  1. Of my 4 cruises since the restart only on Serenade did they have the pre-covid limited bar menu since the lounge there has its own bar set up. The other three your order went through the viking crown bar.
  2. Some bars have featured drinks and that'd be what would be on any menu, but there's a near unlimited combination of drinks that can be made
  3. While technically true by the "letter of the law" your results may vary in practice. Be nice to the concierge/bar staff and good things may happen with your drinks.
  4. Chocolate and Ice sounds like some 70s disco duet
  5. My March and June cruise double points came in as expected. Waiting for my July cruise points to be applied now
  6. RC does a great job with food allergies, but that's a tough one. I have no doubt they'll help you eat in confidence, but I'd definitely follow their advice and get a face to face meeting with the dining staff. They are really good about checking up on you each meal once they know your face. If I had to pick a career all over again, it'd be in food allergy research. They've come a long way in developing readily available alternatives to (traditional) dairy allergies, gluten, egg, etc. But still plenty of people out there who struggle to enjoy a vacation away from home over food concerns.
  7. And it's a tiny ship to begin with. Maybe a million or two in deposits is worth it
  8. I assume it's the same TV-dinner looking turkey entree they have in the MDR sometimes.
  9. It *was* brand new. Not anymore. And the health care system was never overrun.
  10. That won't prevent it either. The only thing that will prevent cases on cruise ships is to stop cruising.
  11. The problem is testing isn't looking for sick people. It's looking for people who test positive. It's unlike anything society has ever done before with airborne viruses.
  12. There are covid positive people (knowingly or unknowingly) everywhere we go in society. And we still go out in society. Same with many other infectious diseases. Yet we don't expect anyone we come in contact with in our daily lives to present a negative test.
  13. That's not how it works. It didn't even work like that at the very beginning of covid and the Diamond Princess.
  14. And the ventilation on a cruise ship is superior to your house, workplace or favorite bar/restaurant
  15. As of July 18, 2022, CDC’s COVID-19 Program for Cruise Ships is no longer in effect. CDC will continue to publish guidance to help cruise ships continue to provide a safer and healthier environment for passengers, crew and communities going forward.
  16. Whiskeys on board will vary widely by ship and by sailing due to supply chain issues.
  17. Navigator has the standard windjammer layout that most ships have. Just note that when you walk in, the station you see isn't where you have to start as there are multiple stations that have the same thing (and some that stand alone like dessert or the gluten free section). Take a walk around the whole thing to see what strikes your fancy before getting in a line.
  18. It varies by ship but most have 3-4 (at a time) cafeteria style stations then 3-4 island type stations.
  19. A lot of it is people having no where else to go (rooms not ready) so they take their time after eating.
