  1. This guy definitely wasn't keeping to himself. Must be someone else. If he's been sailing since 1994 he can thank his parents for taking him on lots of cruises.
  2. Special needs is good if you need something on board ship that RC wouldn't normally stock or have available. And even if you do get things on the radar of Special Needs, you always should go right to the MDR and talk to them the minute you board the ship.
  3. In June they honored a couple for reaching Pinnacle. Their first RC cruise? 2018. Actually I may have have seen this "kid" before. Ran his business on a cruise ship (and was even soliciting clients on board).
  4. Some Caribbean countries still have vaccine requirements for entry, but do any have test requirements?
  5. It's been over 10 years now so I don't remember specifics, but it wasn't a specific trigger food (other than the usual gluten/high fiber/etc stuff to avoid), but some supplements (I remember Cat's Claw was one, as well as turmeric) and some non traditional produce in the American market (like celery root and mung beans) After about 6 months of this regimen the nutritionist suggested the random pains she was getting from otherwise everyday foods was gone. Of course still the same predictable issues with certain foods, but no guess work anymore as to what causes issues.
  6. Ours is 10 and we let him explore on his own some but only for brief periods. You'll see plenty of teenagers out and about on their own and for the most part all are well behaved.
  7. Yet neither country has any covid restrictions anymore.
  8. Unfortunately cruising has always been lumped in with nursing homes and prisons as congregate settings, so it never is lumped into "most community settings" Fortunately the CDC said updated guidance for congregate settings is coming soon.
  9. imitation crab is basically a fish Slim Jim
  10. They had a section to optionally upload booster proof in the app since April/May
  11. Depends on the beer. I think the general trend (based on one person's observations) is that if it comes in cans (even if it also comes in bottles) they'll stock the cans. But some only distribute in bottles, they'll have bottles, too
  12. Random, but as your daughter ever seen a nutritionist who specializes in GI/autoimmune diseases? My wife has Crohn's and had all sorts of problems after surgery trying to find foods that she could tolerate. The nutritionist really helped.
  13. I'm always amazed how popular lobster night is for the cheap, small, warm water tail that gets put on your plate
  14. With all the mustard and Worcestershire sauce put in "authentic" Maryland crabcakes, it's hard to taste the crab in them or in an RC crabcake.
  15. I sure hope the plan is still to ditch testing for the 6+ cruises. It just makes no sense, especially now with the vax requirement gone. And with another major cruise line having already made the change.
  16. It's crab, not Krab. Though not overly crabby. Tasty mind you, but not overly crabby.
  17. Keep that receipt. Reprices that take away already spent OBC have caused issues for people come final payment.
  18. RC's menu is the same each cruise, just a small part of that menu available on a given night.
  19. With so few kids under 5 getting vaccinated plus vax requirements going away anyway, no real need to work on that.
  20. Just check-in lines for Suites/Pinnacles there in Los Angeles but no main entry line.
  21. If double points comes back then that means the cruise industry is back in a hole.
  22. Flying into Vancouver you didn't need to show the QR code since it was linked to your passport. There must have been something on the printout from the kiosks that said you were good to go.
