  1. We started cruising with kids shortly after that policy was changed. Man we got a lot of dirty looks at first when we trotted a 3 yr old in there.
  2. My voucher drinks tend to show up pretty fast on my folio.
  3. A few cruises went there multiple days early on in the restart. But none do now. There are a few that do Coco Cay and Labadee
  4. https://centracare.adventhealth.com/urgent-care/covid-19-testing-orlando-international-airport
  5. They're a cheaper, non-claustrophobic alternative to ocean view cabins. That's really about it.
  6. Everyone has a different definition of what crowded means. I've never felt crowded on a cruise ship even when sailing over 100% capacity. And I'm someone who doesn't like crowds
  7. Your simplest option is getting tested at the airport.
  8. So then you advocate for testing for every single medical condition that could possibly be spread on a cruise ship right? Because if not, you're being a hypocrite. Pre-cruise testing will go away and people will continue to catch it on ships. Much like they do many other viruses today that no one cares about.
  9. Take the shuttle ($5pp round trip) into town, then behind the gondola building is where Alaska Tales sets up (at least that's where they were for us). They'll call you to make sure you know where to meet them.
  10. Take covid tests with you. If you feel compelled to get tested, take one of the ones you brought. If you test positive, go make a rental car and hotel reservation across the border. Then if you really feel compelled to get tested by the ship's staff, you'll should be allowed to get your rental car and drive across the border.
  11. Chops for breakfast. Light fare for breakfast and lunch in the suite lounge plus finger food during happy hour. Free MDR room service.
  12. Don't worry about how long it takes. It's completely random and may take 3 hours or may take 3 weeks. They're still going to look at the card at the port anyway.
  13. norovirus is a whole level more contagious than covid since you can contract it so many different ways. Fortunately it's a lot more rare than the "floating petri dish" people would want you to think.
  14. On Serenade last week, everything went smooth. We also couldn't get right up to the glacier due to ice, but that's par for the course this time of year. The juggler/comedian headliner show was the worst on board show I've ever seen though.
  15. Ships without a promenade is when they start to feel small.
  16. Yes, the wifi network itself isn't the the issue.
  17. There are almost always people flying standby. I doubt those seats went unfilled.
  18. Voyager ships are great. No need to compare them to Oasis.
  19. And even knowing the kids on board, you never know how many kids will go to kids club.
  20. I don't know how other cruise lines do pier check in, but with RC Verifly wouldn't help anything since they still look at all your documents at the pier anyway
  21. My border crossing ArriveCAN disappeared about 4 hours after arriving in Canada, then I did my cruise one.
  22. It was poorly phrased. You can get a discount with a guarantee room, not really that you pay extra to pick a room as if you were picking your seat on a flight.
  23. Serenade last week was 95% full and was going to be over 100% in coming weeks
