  1. Thank you. Reading Cruise Critic gave me some of the info that I needed to make this personal decision. I will some day cruise again, but I can't say when.
  2. This is how I see Covid on board Princess for me. I know that a cruise ship inside is more of a closed environment than outside. The crew and staff are wearing masks to help keep them safe from Covid. Which makes me think, why would I not want to be as safe as the crew and staff? I would want to be as safe as I can be. For me, If all PAX are not wearing masks I would not go. I have not gone on a cruise since the restart because I don't safe . Cruising has changed so much from what I have read on these boards, that I think that I would not have the cruise experience that I want. I am enjoying life at home in my town. I have hobbies to keep me busy and while it would be nice for me to go on a cruise, I can live without it for now, enjoying being on land. What is right for me may not be right for others.
  3. Sorry to hear that she has Celiac. Maybe the could make some fancy fruit, if she can have that.
  4. Have a great cruise. Check out if you can still get the small (free) birthday cake for Beck. They will also sing Happy birthday to her. Her birthday does not have to fall on the cruise for her to get the cake. You might be able to do it on line. Or tell the head waiter too.
  5. That is right. This way a person can find their clam shell.
  6. 7. For a seven day cruise I sometimes bring 6 cans of diet Sunkist. If they sold it on board, then I would not bring it on. I also drink diet coke, which I get on board ship.
  8. Here are some other things in the harbor to view as you are sailing out. 9. Just to let you know. The cabin is small on Princess. A regular balcony cabin has only one chair to sit on. Have you thought of a obstructed deluxe balcony? That will have a loveseat that converts t a bed.
  10. Are you thinking of four people in one balcony cabin on Princess?
  11. Hi, We have sailed in Emerald 429,433, 437 many times. These are mid ship by the lifts. We love these cabin. Very good view with larger balcony.
  12. I am sorry to hear that both of you are ill. Get well soon.
  13. The shirt looks great. I don't know about preserving the autograph. It you put anything on it would it take away the value of the autograph, if you were to seel it?
  14. They may also have coupons that you can print. They do put flyers in the newspapers. I had live beach side in Florida on a barrier island. Bealls was on the island. So, the carried swim suits all the time. There were also hotels on the island, so lots of winter guests looking for summer stuff.
  15. Yes it would be. I live as a snow bird in Fl. for over 20 years. Bealls had swimsuits all winter when I was there. https://www.beallsflorida.com/
  16. I would not go..(But that is me) Would you be comfortable on board? Or worried about getting covid? Will you be able to enjoy the cruise? Would you not go to shows, bars or onboard activities as before, because of covid ? Is it worth spending all that money with the chance of getting covid? Just think about how you would or would not enjoy the cruise. As for me and my husband we will not be cruising for a while. We are happy with what we did before covid. We enjoy each day , just different than pre covid. could I get covid not cruising, maybe. but at least I will have my own Dr. and not have the chance of being in a foreign country. Just sort it out. Maybe make a list of pros and cons and see which list is the winner.
  17. Did you try to book another cabin in the same cat? don't cancel the one you have. Just see what comes up in price?
  18. We loved Sitka. We enjoyed the Bishops house. Very interesting. And the church was al so nice. Everything that we saw was in walking distance from the pier that we were at. https://visitsitka.org/things-to-do/placestovisit/museums https://www.nps.gov/sitk/learn/historyculture/russian-bishops-house.htm https://stmichaelcathedral.org/ https://sitkahistory.com/ https://visitsitka.org/things-to-do/placestovisit/historic-sites https://visitsitka.org/things-to-do/placestovisit/culture https://visitsitka.org/things-to-do/placestovisit/wildlife
  19. I would think that it might be hard to get dressed and shower. being there will be two female and one male in the cabin. Could you dad be able to take a inside cabin? Maybe two inside cabins?
  20. Have you checked the "view source" before you open the e-mail?
  21. We were on a Caribbean cruise and were 6 people traveling together. A friend of ours brought a friend with him. This friend of our friend became near death ill and was in the ship's hospital. He was transported to a hospital in St Lucia, our port of call. Holland American line was great with how they handled it. 1. HAL sent a nurse to the hospital to as she said to me " to check out the care there". They had a shore side person working with my friend and me. 2. All phone calls made by us to the hospital and Island and Canada from the ship were free. What happen was my friend was 90 years old and a priest, it was his friend who was sick. Once at the hospital, l had they contacted the local priest. He came right away. He offered for the 90 friend of mine (who was a priest) to stay with him. But he thought it would be better for him to stay on the ship, because of less stress for him at 90. The man who was sick, his family was able to get there the next day by air. The priest ( who was well known at the hospital) was a go between the hospital and the family. But HAL kept in touch with shore side and us. The man was in the hospital for a few weeks there. He live for about 10 more years to a good age. At no time were we ever left on our own, HAL was there.
