  1. No difference at all, but sone people do like to flaunt their status.
  2. Just a crazy situation. How can ships deviate from HQ policy. But you're right - what is the point of not buying the package immediately, unless you are abstaining on day 1 ?
  3. A pub to avoid then ! We had a great pub lunch in Lincoln this week. Personal service, tab for drinks and food, and tap and pay when we left. Seems that the pub chains (mention no names, Tim !) are pushing QR codes. We try and avoud them.
  4. No way that is going to happen. If that was the case (sic) there would be hundreds of cases in the water every cruise !
  5. I can't imagine why anyone would want to eat this rubbish. Just a diabetes attack in a glass. I almost feel like getting one, as it is included on my package, having one mouthful, and then returning it, so as to make a point to Princess. If enough people did it, perhaps the Princess marketing department would realise their mistake.
  6. Avsolutely, especially as Princess wine pours are so stingy.
  7. According to the Princess web site you have to purchase either package on embarkation day.
  8. Did you actually go on the Parking4cruises web site, rather than through a broker ?
  9. Have you tried Parking4cruises ?
  10. Unfortunately the MDR is usually shut by the time we are ready for breakfast !
  11. Not that I look that hard, but I've never seen one that expensive.
  12. "Hard work " ! Moving a suitcase 10 yards !
  13. I would imagine that from a Princess point of view, the economic justification for offering the packages depends to a large extent on both passengers in the cabin buying the package. Once you start allowing exceptions to this rule, the profitability of the packages becomes more problematic. I would be extremely surprised if a mere rep would have the authority to change the t&c's, or even a manager, come to that.
  14. With the exception of a few Ryanair flights, charter flights predominantly use Bournemouth. If you are looking for an alternative to LHR, you could consider Southampton airport, but again there are not many scheduled flights, although I guess you could fly to Amsterdam and then fly on from there.
  15. Who'd have thought this subject would generate so many responses ! I guess we all have our own techniques, and do what we are most comfortable with.
  16. Ah - stupid me ! Thank you. Having said that, did you spot any changes ?
  17. Ah - in that case, it might be even easier. Just explain to your driver that you need an ATM. I'm sure he will know of a supermarket en route where you can get some cash. (By the way, nice thought to give a good driver something)
  18. Yes, but that is dependent on number of suitcases, choosing your seat etc. Nothing to do with taxes or gratuities. You keep trying to pick holes in other people's point of view, but seem to have little success.
