  1. So, you are promoting drug smuggling and telling the OP to blatantly ignore the cruise line's prohibited items list?
  2. What does that matter. It is prohibited by the cruise line. Period.
  3. Yes. You can cancel. If you cancel more than 2 days prior to departure, you will get a refund. If you cancel onboard, you will get a refundable OBC. To put things in perspective, there are 80 Haven rooms. Out of the 80, there would be few unsold rooms available for upgrade. There are over 1400 staterooms eligible to bid on Haven upgrades. The probability of winning a Haven bid is very very very small.
  4. Thinking back, that is where I saw them. I remember that the bartender had to leave the bar to get the espresso.
  5. Per my response on your thread, Le Bistro and Palomar are the two restaurants on the Prima that ask gents to wear long pants (jeans and dockers are fine) and a collared shirt. People tended to be a bit more foresees up in Hudson’s, but it is not “required”.
  6. Palomar and Le Bistro. Palomar is kinda the Ocean Blue of the Prima (even servicing some Ocean Blue dishes).
  7. Sad to see Pricilla go. We were there on opening night in 2015 as the Epic came out of dry dock and we sailed from Southampton to Barcelona. And SIX would be an easy show to install with little to the set, just the video wall.
  8. Your butler will take your order in advance. And serve you as one complete meal or one course at a time. We opt for deliver it all at once and leave it on the counter in the room. Your butler does not go and run for each course, it is just kept in the butler pantry down the hall and you may be waiting a long time between courses if they are running orders for other rooms.
  9. The arrangement between the employee and employer is irrelevant. If you feel that your room steward and bartender deserve recognition, leave them a tip. We tip our steward $5-$10/per person/per day. On our cruse last week we left our stateroom steward $10/pp/pd. I tip a bar waiter and most bartenders $1-$2/drink. Last week, I tipped my favorite bartender up to $5 if he gave me priority and slipped me my "regular" drinks before the others waiting around the bar for service,,, it was a look from the bartender, a nod from me, and drinks magically show up.
  10. And it is well deserved. This is like the main stream media, taking a metric, out of context, and making an issue over it. It's a couple of bucks a day per person. If that breaks the bank after paying thousands of dollars for a cruise, then book all of your cruises for the next 2 years before 12/31/22 and pre-pay your service charges. Earlier this year, I bought eggs for $0.79/dozen. Now, I am paying nearly $2/dozen.
  11. You need a reservation. Without a reservation, you can stand-by for the show, but will have to wait until 10 minutes prior to show time before entering the theater. At that time, you are free to take any seat that no one else wanted. Right now, SIX is very popular.
  12. Old news which has been the topic of multiple threads
  13. She didn't arrive until 10:37 this morning.
  14. NCL has started charging $5 delivery fee for their formerly complimentary continental breakfast. RCCL won't be far behind.
  15. Good Luck! Two different approaches: Shows First (@ Box Office) / Dinners Second (@ Syd Norman's) We used this approach on our October Prima cruise and got all of our shows booked (including the Improv). But struggled to get a Palomar dinner reservation at a time that worked around our shows. Dinners First (@ Syd Norman's) / Shows Second (@ Box Office) We used this approach on our December Prima cruise and got all of our dinners sorted out at the times we wanted (including two dinners at Palomar). We got Donna Summer and Noise Boys booked o.k, but all Improv shows were sold out. On our December Prima cruise, we found that the NCL App did not have all of the show times loaded and we didn't wait in line for a touch screen kiosk to see if we could do show reservations without waiting at the box office (which is how we booked all of our shows).
  16. The Price is Right is great fun! If your price is right, you could win a new car as part of the showcase showdown. That being said, by 11:45 am on embarkation day, all of the comedy shows were sold out for the duration of our 7-night cruise. The comedians appear in the main theater if you don't get a seat in the Improv.
  17. It is in the Deck 6 entrance to the Theater, starboard side. That being said, on embarkation day last week, everyone was being routed to the port side entrance and the line went through the front of the theater and back up the starboard side hall to make show reservations.
  18. NCL embraces Freestyle cruising and there are no formal nights. On the Epic, shorts are allowed in all restaurants for all meals except dinners at Le Bistro and The Manhattan Room MDR where gents are asked to wear long pants (jeans or dockers are o.k.). Some folks like to get dressed up, which is fine. Some folks like to be in their vacation attire all the time which is also fine. There will be photographers available every night for dressed up or casual portraits.
  19. Here's an example from our October cruise: Total passengers onboard were 2712 onboard (the Prima’s double occupancy capacity is 3100). 3 Ambassador members 23 Diamond members 196 Sapphire members Last week, there were a half dozen Ambassadors on the Prima. I didn't get any other metrics.
  20. I think the Indulge Food Hall. More because it is the "new toy" that everyone wants to go and try it. We've been there around a half dozen times between our two cruises on the Prima. The food was infinitely better than The Local. We have always disliked the food at O'Sheehan's / The Local and still do after eating lunch there on the Prima.
  21. The Brid heard people ordering them, but don't remember which bar. The Bird avoids them because they exceed $15.
  22. Once onboard, your concierge team can help you book SIX and Burn the Floor (main theater shows) and comedy shows in Headliners. https://www.ncl.com/cruise-ship/breakaway/whats-on-board/entertainment They would also be listed on your MyNCL reservation under EXPLORE AND PLAN and then ONBOARD ENTERTAINMENT.
  23. Isn't that true on any ship???? If you want a seat in the buffet for breakfast on a port day (on any ship), show up early. If you want a good seat in the theater (on any ship) show up early. If you don't want the front row of the comedy club and get picked on, show up early. At least NCL is not doing the RCL Windjammer buffet thing... making constant announcements "If you are done stuffing your face, get out so others can stuff their face". I have always found the RCL approach totally offensive.
