  1. Not anymore. The nonrefundable deposit put a stop to most of that and eliminated a good chunk of the 'placeholder' and 'backup' bookings. And before someone says it...TA's group inventory is not given up or returned at the final payment date so that's not it.
  2. Jeez. Tough crowd. Normally rules are rules but this is far from an ordinary situation. You will probably have to make contact yourself via an executive to get attention on the issue rather than a customer service agent reading off a script.
  3. 12/9 is on Exciting Deals so GTY Cruise Only rates are discounted. https://www.celebritycruises.com/promo-controller?contentPromotionId=promotion-217 https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/Exciting_Deals/CEL_Exciting_Deals.pdf The 12/29 is a Holiday sailings so definitely no discounts on that one.
  4. That is the correct price. That sailing has GTY cabins on Exciting Deals which are discounted rates on some Cruise Only GTY fares.
  5. IMO that concept is coming from this which doesn't provide any specific details. Even if people still complain about perceived quality of the food, all of the MDR/Blu/Luminae menus need a significant refresh. People will get mad they can't get their favorite dish from 2013 but all of the menus are very tired at this point.
  6. I would not recommend them and after my own experience had also sworn them off, but the next time I need business class flights the savings is nearly $9,000 so……here we go again. Fingers crossed.
  7. Because it only applies to cruise only rates and cabins up through Concierge Class.
  8. Nope. 20 of the 169 available go to CoCo Cay. Follow the link, select anything other than Retreat and a Cruise Only rate. The price for 3 and 4 is exactly the same as double occupancy aside from tax and fees.
  9. I do have a clue and they do send me nice little (sometimes big!) commission checks. Right now there is valid question over the direction (or lack thereof) the Celebrity product in general. A lot of people will tell you they pick Celebrity because of the generally adult-oriented/kid-free experience. When you bring back Labadee, introduce CoCo Cay, sales like this, etc. it’s potentially representative of a big shift. Or just spitballing to see what may work.
  10. There is some chatter in a TA group about this. I think everyone agrees it’s a KSF program without calling it that. The only time Celebrity has done one was spring of 2019 that I’m aware of. The T&C’s are a little strange. Insulate the Retreat and only offer it on Cruise Only to bolster the onboard spend (?). There have been a lot of leadership changes from RCG all the way down the chain including Sales so testing these things may just be the new reality. That’s the strange thing. They don’t. It’s been a while since I’ve heard numbers but cabins with 3+ even during holidays and summer didn’t breach even 10%. Normal rate was something like 3%. If this is a new tactic it’s certainly abnormal. I would not be shocked at all to eventually see this promoted with Coco Cay plus 3/4 sail free.
  11. It said yesterday only but the link and rates still work today. I can't find more specific terms. Would have to agree that this is just a KSF promo in disguise... https://www.celebritycruises.com/us/promo-controller?contentPromotionId=promotion-289
  12. If I open a private browser I get the new version of the site and it works just fine.
  13. There are only 6-7 suites open across all suite types on that sailing. Everything else is also nearly sold out. I would say this is an anomaly and unfortunately you have near zero chance of winning a bid. Someone else posted recently about an Aqua Sky Suites showing a minimum less than regular Aqua class. There may be some quirks in these sailings that are near capacity.
  14. Nothing seems abnormal to me. Some updated info that was just put out this afternoon seems like business as usual. When ships were returning to service post-COVID I know check-in wasn't open until at least 30 days out.
  15. The NPS score would be different than the post-cruise survey. I haven't taken one in a while so I'm not sure if there is one attached but the NPS results would come from a single question rating 0-10 rather than a series of questions. A lower score is detractor, middle score is passive and high score is a promoter then it's simply the promoter percentage minus the detractor percentage. It would look like this one.
  16. More than you would think. True max capacity is around 115% on E and S class. On Beyond max double capacity at 100% is 3,260 but the ship can reach 117.7% which is 3,836 passengers or 576 passengers additional passengers above 100%.
  17. Does it though? How many people go out of their way to provide a glowing review? But if they have an axe to grind...they'll take any attention they can get.
  18. NPS is real data. And it's very simple data. I'm pretty sure they can figure it out.
  19. Two things... Comparables to the competition would be poignant. I don't have time to do it but I would imagine all of them have taken a dip recently. In direct contrast, Celebrity says their owns NPS is higher than it has even been.
  20. Ahhh a dress code debate. Agree to disagree and move on. You may not think this is on point, like the poster probably thinks the classic "dockers and a golf shirt" or (heaven forbid) an "Aloha shirt" are fashionable. Celebrity actually did a nice Instagram story on this a few months ago.
  21. I received it for 3 upcoming cruises. At the top it says “here are some of the benefits you will receive”. A link to the full list is attached.
  22. Changes will eventually have to take place to accommodate the growing number of members for either program. It’s not sustainable. However, the video he mentions definitely does not insinuate the programs would be outright merged.
  23. That’s only for cruises with a 2025 sail date. Groups with a 2024 sail date will continue to have grats included.
  24. Your experience was definitely a unique one. Virgin does a late pier-arrival time so people can sleep in on disembarkation day. The trade-off is you don't board until after 2pm. It's not worth it on the back end. You end up with an awkward amount of time to waste after a hotel checkout. Or you end up at Bayside Marketplace (🤮).
